Red Cliff Main Wall - Trade sector
21 | ★ Trade Embargo - with Ross Paynter, Emily Hoffmann | 4 | ★ Good
gotta keep the ethical high standards — I saw someone on it from some distance earlier in the day and draws were up, so a hard earned flash. So short, and yet felt hard at the top. Maybe this is this crag's peregrine, the perfect warm up Will be good to stop climbing around the horn...

Tue 9th Apr 2024 - Blue Mountains
Bells Line of Road & Chifley Rd Bell Supercrag Duck Wall
21 | ★★ Duck Tits - with Andrew Dolan, Ross Paynter, Tom | 16m | ★★ Very Good
Good warm up for here, some bits with tiny crimps. Top is fun too.
Sun 7th Apr 2024 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Centennial Glen Wave Wall
21 | ★★ Jaws - with Andrew Dolan, Ross Paynter | 15m, 4 | ★★ Very Good
First route of the trip, pretty cool to do something here first go, even if it's too easy for a warm up for most people here!
Fri 29th Sep 2023 - Mitcham Quarries
Car Crash Quarry Sector 1 - Left
21 | ★ Ram it to the Hilti and Climbmax - with Hugh Edwards, Stu | 10m, 3
A tad easier than Fading Light, but this time I saw Stu and then Hugh try before my first go. Really nice though, I'm more likely to jump back on this than Fading Light... definitely easier for me than that one.
Thu 21st Sep 2023 - Blue Mountains
Bells Line of Road & Chifley Rd Bell Supercrag Sunnyside
22 | ★★★ Seamstress - with Andrew Dolan | 22m, 10 | ★★★ Classic
Andrew went first and onsighted our 'warm-up' — what a sensational climb, loved it. Very interesting start to the cave. Then more straightforward after that, but not over till it's over.
Sat 13th May 2023 - Mitcham Quarries
Car Crash Quarry Sector 2 - Central
20 | ★ Fish Dreams - with Amy Trinh | 8m | ★ Good
I did this as much as possible — a foot on the corner might have meant I cheated. But there is no way I can do it any other way, so I'm ticking it here so I don't feel too tempted to come back
19 | ★ Wham Bam Thank You Clam - with Amy Trinh | 8m, 3 | Average
I kind of mostly climbed this. Was there a hand on the grade 11 to the left? Maybe. But the description doesn't clearly say what's out, and I did still go through the overlap... Maybe next time I'll try wihtout that left hand at the start if I can find a way...
Sun 27th Nov 2022 - Morialta
Thorn Buttress | ||||||
23 | ★★ Japetus Direct Finish - with Seb | ★★★ Classic
This is also very good, and keen to jump on the sharp end next time. There was a top rope there and I was pretty tired already, so surprised I got to the top clean. Maybe with more juice and brains next time I can try the lead!
22 | ★★ Terra Incognita - with Hugh | 20m | ★★★ Classic
what a line, absolutely LOVED it. Plenty of rests, and perhaps a tad soft for the grade?
Thu 17th Nov 2022 - Mitcham Quarries
Car Crash Quarry Sector 2 - Central
21 | ★ Edge of Darkness - with Hugh | 12m, 3 | ★ Good
Pretty good for around here — all in those first 4-5m.
Fri 4th Nov 2022 - Mitcham Quarries
Car Crash Quarry Sector 2 - Central
21 | ★ Hard Stone City - with Hugh, Stu, Oscar | 12m | ★★ Very Good
Got ALL of the beta from my mates and it made all the difference. Easier than sunfish WITH that beta, but i can't imagine figuring that beta out myself. Would be bloody hard to onsight. Awesome awesome line though, keen to get back on it.

Mon 5th Apr 2021 - Pinjarra
Boomer Hill Spring Grove Farm Cutting
16 | ★ The Smell of Burning Cash - with Jorge | 10m, 3 | Average
Unnecessarily high first bolt, but maybe that's the fun? Not sure why a carrot just over the edge, a bit useless as the carabiner just sits dangerously over the edge...
Sun 5th Jul 2020 - Mountain Quarry
Main Wall | ||||||
20 | ★ Fear in the Face of a Carrot - with Jorge | 30m | ★ Good
This is good fun, but our plates wouldn't fit, which made it real hard for the legendary Jorge to get the third clip - be aware those carrots are real fat!
Mon 27th Jan 2020 - Blue Mountains
Leura Sublime Point West Face (Main Area) Middle Cliffs Theory of Negativity Wall
20 | ★★★ Theory of Negativity - with Daniel Bush, Alvaro | 22m, 9 | ★★★ Classic
Apparently best 20 in the mountains. It is really good, and gets pumpy towards the end. Maybe I just have no endurance...
Sun 12th Jan 2020 - Wharewerawera / Long Beach
Pinnacle Lower Sunnyside
19 | ★★ Surreptitious - with Emily Hoffmann | 15m, 4 | ★★ Very Good
One of my favorites here, what a fun start!

This is pretty great with a couple of nice long moves.
Sun 27th Oct 2019 - Mountain Quarry
Playboy Area | ||||||
12 | ★ Black Slab - with Emily Hoffmann | 18m, 6 | ★ Good
Em getting back to leading! Easy but fun warm up, I'm surprised it looks like I hadn't done this before.
Sun 15th Sep 2019 - Woy Woy
Phegans Bay | ||||||
12 | ★ G - with Daniel Bush | 5m | Average
Challenging with hiking boots! No double bolts at the top...

Nice finish to the day, interesting start that makes you pretend you have no legs.

Pimple Buttress | ||||||
16 | ★ It's For You - with Bruno Alves Buzatto, Daniel Bush | 10m, 3 | Average
I can't think of anything good to say about this...
Sun 24th Feb 2019 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Bardens Lookout Little Triggers Wall
19 | ★★ Little Triggers - with Francois Pieterse | 25m
Good stuff, my favorite here so far, but I haven't sampled enough!
Sat 8th Dec 2018 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Shipley Upper Sandwiches Wall
13 | ★ Pompadour - with Daniel Bush, ARATEK | 15m, 10 | ★ Good
Did it with hiking boots cause I got cocky and then got a bit scared at the top, haha...
Sat 1st Dec 2018 - Blue Mountains
Bells Line of Road & Chifley Rd Bell Supercrag Arrivals (Lower)
19 | ★ Belayer's Root - with Francois Pieterse, Desiree | 14m | ★★ Very Good
A fun puzzle, feels super hard for the grade if you don't work out what to do at the crux!
Sun 18th Nov 2018 - Blue Mountains
Bells Line of Road & Chifley Rd Bell Supercrag The Blowhole
16 | ★ Kwik Grip - with Daniel Bush | 15m, 9 | ★ Good
Great lead by Daniel! I enjoyed it, but honestly my fingers were already sore as hell after trying some hard stuff on sharp rock... Should have started on this instead!!
Sun 18th Nov 2018 - Blue Mountains
Bells Line of Road & Chifley Rd Bell Supercrag Arrivals (Lower)
21 | ★★ Jingle Bells - with Daniel Bush | 15m | ★★ Very Good
Got talked into "warming up" on this. Great climb, though, just not a warm up for a weakling like me!
Sun 16th Sep 2018 - Blue Mountains
Medlow Bath The Sunbath
18 | ★ Spook Eyes - with Conti | 10m, 4 | ★ Good
I didn't use the crack/corner on the right, cause I wanted to focus on the face. But I didn't even think of avoiding the arete in the end, too unnatural... So I guess I'll claim this one rather than the direct 19 one...
19 | ★★ Poultry in Motion - with Conti | 15m, 6 | ★★ Very Good
Yeah, this is ok, not sure it deserves 2 stars... A juggy but pumpy 19.
Mon 11th Jun 2018 - Eaglestone Rocks
22 | Second Chamber - with Jorge | 11m, 3 | ★★ Very Good
This is a lovely slab challenge! The problem is the second clip — I must admit I followed Jorge's advice and did it with the first two bolts clipped, so not a true flash here is it... But I totally could have clipped, I was solid in this thing! Climbing with the King of Slab Jorge has been helping me!!
Wed 6th Jun 2018 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Mount Piddington Eternity Area
20 | ★★ Neil Diamond Syndrome - with Chris | 25m
I agree that a mid sized cam is a good idea after the second bolt (the first bolt is really close to the ground). Good fun, variety of long moves on jugs and then balancy stuff on the top!
Sun 7th Jan 2018 - Mountain Quarry
Fuzzbucky Wall | ||||||
19 | ★★ Inside Out - with Heidi | 25m, 11 | ★★ Very Good
I'll call this a flash cause years and years ago I got on it and bailed cause I thought the top was too scary. This time I crushed it, super happy about it. The only problem I find is that the second last bolt is too much to the left, it made me go on the next route on the left and then have to down climb back to this one... Plus, setting a top-rope for Heidi was complicated due to rope drag. You might want to top belay your second on this one and abseil down...

Sun 7th Jan 2018 - Mountain Quarry
Playboy Area | ||||||
13 | ★ Bumble Sea - with Emily | 11m, 4 | ★ Good
An ok warm up.
Fri 22nd Dec 2017 - Mountain Quarry
Playboy Area | ||||||
13 | ★ Paternity Test - with Emily | 14m, 4 | ★ Good
Fun warm up, the end makes it worth something...
Sun 19th Nov 2017 - Mountain Quarry
Playboy Area | ||||||
16 | ★ Bumble Bee - with Jorge | 12m, 4 | ★ Good
This was more fun than I anticipated, I like it for a warm up. Fun last couple of moves.
Thu 16th Mar 2017 - Boya Quarry
East Bay Rightside | ||||||
21 | ★ Special Forces - with Chris | 18m, 4 | ★★★ Classic
Awesome climb, that traverse at the top must be the highlight. Stoked that I flashed this after Chris took a fall — I gotta enjoy these rare moments before he is fully recovered from his accident
Fri 9th Dec 2016 - Boya Quarry
East Bay Rightside | ||||||
20 20 R | ★ Modern Tactics - with Jorge | 25m, 4 | ★★ Very Good
Better than I expected! Mentally challenging due to all the smearing and a runout in the middle. Must be very hard to onsight the crux before the anchor, watching Jorge go first was very helpful for me!

| 45m | ★★★ Classic | |||
I only did the first pitch, cause the book said that was the hard one (22), and that the next one was a 20, which I heard it wasn't so good. But no matter how much I'd love to claim a 22 flash, it turns out this first pitch, despite being pretty awesome, is definitely not a 22. It's a 20 max, probably even a bit easier... Next time I'll attempt the second one, since that must be the crux...

Sun 20th Nov 2016 - Wellington Dam
Right Wall | ||||||
17 | ★ This Murky Corner of My Emotions - with Jimmy, Kate | 14m, 3 | ★★ Very Good
Interesting moves in the middle section, you gotta use your legs creatively...
Sat 19th Nov 2016 - Wellington Dam
Left Wall | ||||||
15 | ★ Block'n'Tackle - with Kate, Jimmy | 12m, 2 | Average
Not sure this deserves any stars...
Sun 10th Jul 2016 - Eaglestone Rocks
18 | ★★ Pink Rings - with Gundula, Zaq, James | 18m, 5 | ★★ Very Good
I wouldn't give it the two stars, or the grade 18. I reckon Sparrow and You Don't Know Jack are better and slightly harder, especially Sparrow...
17 | ★ You Don't Know Jack - with James | 18m, 6 | ★★ Very Good
Loved this, most of the way you look up and think how the hell am I gonna get up there, but looking at your feet is always the answer.
16 | Bitter - with Bruno Alves Buzatto, Aparna Ramesh, james | 9m, 3 | ★ Good
Interesting first couple of moves, then it's done. I am calling this a flash, but in all honesty I slipped a bit on the second move after clipping the first bolt and sort of caught myself, but the rope maybe helped a little Will warm up on it next time to get a more graceful ascent and the redpoint...
Sun 26th Jun 2016 - Statham's Quarry
Michel Angelo Walls | ||||||
23 | ★ Agent de France - with Gwyn Hughes | 18m, 4 | ★★ Very Good
Really scary first clip (stick clipped it). Then some powerful moves, but with good beta I surprised myself and got to the top!! Committing, not sure I'll try red-pointing this anytime soon...
Sat 18th Jun 2016 - Mountain Quarry
Playboy Area | ||||||
15 | ★ Aerobics with Alan - with Gundula | 20m, 6 | ★ Good
There is one very cool move in the middle of this, I like it for that alone. I am logging this as a retro-flash cause I am pretty sure I flashed or on-sighted it before, but long before I logged anything... Just cleaning the route after Gundula today.
Sun 1st May 2016 - Statham's Quarry
Quarry Right Side | ||||||
17 | ★★ Kid Rock - with Timothy Tan | 14m, 6 | ★★ Very Good
I really enjoyed this climb as a fun warm up. But I can see how it might be a bit more than just a warm up for me next time if I go for the red point...
Sun 15th Nov 2015 - Mountain Quarry
The Black Bay | ||||||
19 | ★ Turbodiesel Excavator - with Blair | 16m, 5 | ★★ Very Good
I really liked this climb, probably one of the best of the grade in Mt Quarry?
