Ascents as Flash as sport by Bruno Alves Buzatto

gotta keep the ethical high standards — I saw someone on it from some distance earlier in the day and draws were up, so a hard earned flash. So short, and yet felt hard at the top. Maybe this is this crag's peregrine, the perfect warm up Will be good to stop climbing around the horn...

Good warm up for here, some bits with tiny crimps. Top is fun too.

First route of the trip, pretty cool to do something here first go, even if it's too easy for a warm up for most people here!

A tad easier than Fading Light, but this time I saw Stu and then Hugh try before my first go. Really nice though, I'm more likely to jump back on this than Fading Light... definitely easier for me than that one.

Andrew went first and onsighted our 'warm-up' — what a sensational climb, loved it. Very interesting start to the cave. Then more straightforward after that, but not over till it's over.

I did this as much as possible — a foot on the corner might have meant I cheated. But there is no way I can do it any other way, so I'm ticking it here so I don't feel too tempted to come back

I kind of mostly climbed this. Was there a hand on the grade 11 to the left? Maybe. But the description doesn't clearly say what's out, and I did still go through the overlap... Maybe next time I'll try wihtout that left hand at the start if I can find a way...

This is also very good, and keen to jump on the sharp end next time. There was a top rope there and I was pretty tired already, so surprised I got to the top clean. Maybe with more juice and brains next time I can try the lead!

what a line, absolutely LOVED it. Plenty of rests, and perhaps a tad soft for the grade?

Pretty good for around here — all in those first 4-5m.

Got ALL of the beta from my mates and it made all the difference. Easier than sunfish WITH that beta, but i can't imagine figuring that beta out myself. Would be bloody hard to onsight. Awesome awesome line though, keen to get back on it.

Unnecessarily high first bolt, but maybe that's the fun? Not sure why a carrot just over the edge, a bit useless as the carabiner just sits dangerously over the edge...

This is good fun, but our plates wouldn't fit, which made it real hard for the legendary Jorge to get the third clip - be aware those carrots are real fat!

Apparently best 20 in the mountains. It is really good, and gets pumpy towards the end. Maybe I just have no endurance...

Great lead by Daniel! I enjoyed it, but honestly my fingers were already sore as hell after trying some hard stuff on sharp rock... Should have started on this instead!!

Got talked into "warming up" on this. Great climb, though, just not a warm up for a weakling like me!

I didn't use the crack/corner on the right, cause I wanted to focus on the face. But I didn't even think of avoiding the arete in the end, too unnatural... So I guess I'll claim this one rather than the direct 19 one...

Yeah, this is ok, not sure it deserves 2 stars... A juggy but pumpy 19.

This is a lovely slab challenge! The problem is the second clip — I must admit I followed Jorge's advice and did it with the first two bolts clipped, so not a true flash here is it... But I totally could have clipped, I was solid in this thing! Climbing with the King of Slab Jorge has been helping me!!

I agree that a mid sized cam is a good idea after the second bolt (the first bolt is really close to the ground). Good fun, variety of long moves on jugs and then balancy stuff on the top!

I'll call this a flash cause years and years ago I got on it and bailed cause I thought the top was too scary. This time I crushed it, super happy about it. The only problem I find is that the second last bolt is too much to the left, it made me go on the next route on the left and then have to down climb back to this one... Plus, setting a top-rope for Heidi was complicated due to rope drag. You might want to top belay your second on this one and abseil down...

This was more fun than I anticipated, I like it for a warm up. Fun last couple of moves.

Awesome climb, that traverse at the top must be the highlight. Stoked that I flashed this after Chris took a fall — I gotta enjoy these rare moments before he is fully recovered from his accident

Better than I expected! Mentally challenging due to all the smearing and a runout in the middle. Must be very hard to onsight the crux before the anchor, watching Jorge go first was very helpful for me!

I only did the first pitch, cause the book said that was the hard one (22), and that the next one was a 20, which I heard it wasn't so good. But no matter how much I'd love to claim a 22 flash, it turns out this first pitch, despite being pretty awesome, is definitely not a 22. It's a 20 max, probably even a bit easier... Next time I'll attempt the second one, since that must be the crux...

Interesting moves in the middle section, you gotta use your legs creatively...

I wouldn't give it the two stars, or the grade 18. I reckon Sparrow and You Don't Know Jack are better and slightly harder, especially Sparrow...

Loved this, most of the way you look up and think how the hell am I gonna get up there, but looking at your feet is always the answer.

Interesting first couple of moves, then it's done. I am calling this a flash, but in all honesty I slipped a bit on the second move after clipping the first bolt and sort of caught myself, but the rope maybe helped a little Will warm up on it next time to get a more graceful ascent and the redpoint...

Really scary first clip (stick clipped it). Then some powerful moves, but with good beta I surprised myself and got to the top!! Committing, not sure I'll try red-pointing this anytime soon...

There is one very cool move in the middle of this, I like it for that alone. I am logging this as a retro-flash cause I am pretty sure I flashed or on-sighted it before, but long before I logged anything... Just cleaning the route after Gundula today.

I really enjoyed this climb as a fun warm up. But I can see how it might be a bit more than just a warm up for me next time if I go for the red point...

I really liked this climb, probably one of the best of the grade in Mt Quarry?
