Ascents as boulder by Zac Schofield

Had one attempt at the end of the day. Didn’t commit to the top as the landing leaves a lot to be desired. Really cool boulder, the holds are a bit sharp, the V8 looks good but I want more pads.

Can’t work out what really makes this different than The Oyster other than the top out which doesn’t seem to be any harder. Would appreciate more clarity in the description.

Only had a couple goes but felt real close. Surprisingly I use the exact same beta as David Barrie. Keen to get back on this next trip.

Got all the beta just was to tired and didn’t get a chance to go back. Pretty certain should go without issue next time.

Got all the good betas from the boys but stepped out left for the top out and dropped off. So apparently can’t actually claim the tick. #GoodBouldersDropOff

Absolutely seiged the right hand variant. Got mega shut down and hurt feelings. Was insanely hard for me.

Done with the front on beta. Absolutely excellent moonboarding.

Did with the left heel toe.

A big move to a kinda sharp jug, didn’t really feel like it was worth ripping a bunch of flappers

Was a bit to warm climbing this in full sun to get the send, but would definitely be keen to get back on this

In person the rock leaves a lot to be desired. Here’s an actual coordinate (-34.0451703, 150.8719655) hopefully this should get you close. Because the Sydney guidebook and previous location tag will have you and 3 friends experiencing the pleasure of being 150 metres away but with all info saying you are standing infront of it and getting annoyed. But don’t worry the disappointment isn’t over.

Really didn’t think this was gunna go this session. Changed shoes and a few tries later I was post crux trying to work out how to rest on the jugs. Pretty stoked to put it together. Really classic boulder.

Did the first couple moves then dropped off because didn’t want to do the slab

Super sick climb! Apparently the initial line used to start match on the right hand rail but the start hold has since broken, confirmed afterwards that matched start doesn’t go remotely near V3.

Could definitely swap the grades on this and the V5. Initially thought the grades were completely wrong but others confirmed this is supposedly correct.

Spent all session telling Kez his beta was wrong. After a few hours of falling off i was using all of Kez’s beta. Next go for sure.

I mean I’ll take a free V6 send but also, if you can climb V3 this is gunna be doable. The dabbyness makes it less enjoyable.

Toe hook beta seems to be the go, now I just need to learn how to toe hook without needing a power spot

In what world is this V0 or a good warmup, felt like trying this had a higher chance of doing a pulley than anything else I got on

An excellent boulder. Finished the same as the FA. Can we all stop lying to ourselves and each other and just agree top outs are shit.

A few wet holds stopped me going for redpoints

Starting on the different holds forces a completely different sequence which is also worth doing. Not as good as NB tho

Such a great climb, deletes the skin pretty quickly, punted the top a few times cuz I’m bad at the single slab move.
