Routes as sport in Tochigi ken

Follow the meandering route of the easiest moves.

First bolt somewhat far

kyougikai but going directly upwards without weaving right

Coming off kyougikai route, stick to the far right line of bolts

Up the arete

Climbing the face, no using the dihedral crack or upper arete

Over the hang. Going too far left trivializes it

Got a grade upgrade after a hold came off

After climbing the unprotected easy slab, ascend the central line up jugs.

Consistently small holds with solid feet. Take some time to feel around

Guidebook says 5.9 and crack on right is supposed to be 5.7 so one would presume the crack is off? Would make for a tough 5.9

Probably doable trad

Watch for multiple loose holds

Climb inside the corner then over the hang

extension/additional pitch after beginner crack

additional pitch for concave face

Run out trivial climbing after the second bolt
