Ascents in Mt Ku-ring-gai by Geoff Cooper

Worked out crux on top rope before sending clean. Went left at the crux and with good undercling and high feet was able to stretch to the jug

Still struggle to clip off the small holds

Crux start then the rest is quite easy

Really great route. Clipped alpine draw on third bolt on the right, then traversed with feet in the break and hands on perfect jugs across to high bolt

Snappy holds (I broke off at least 6 of them). Lower offs are placed a bit high so expect rope drag if top roping

Hard undercut start to questionable snappy holds

Lower offs are poorly placed as the carabiners are resting on bulges in the rock. Best to bring 2 slings and thread the bolts to avoid carabiner failure

Crux is much harder than the grade

Nice climbing up the hollow drum skin until the slopery top to lower offs

Tricky traverse then quite easy up the arete

Probably the best route at the crag

Reasonably good climbing although delicate with the holds around the ledge

Fluffy crocs lead

Still a poor route. Sustained climbing through the middle and the top is poorly bolted with ledge fall potential
