Ascents by Dominik having Distinct route

On a sunny day with Luis. First pitch with good holds and feet and one airy section that I thought was not a 5 anymore.

Second pitch starts with strange crumbly looking rock and quite some vegetation. On the upper half better and with some good moves, though one section quite hard for 6a.

For the third pitch we went for the finish through the crack which was the most fun of the 3 pitches. Short but worthwhile pitch. Great 360* views from top.

Fully bolted, no need for friends or nuts. Although, the bolt distances feel a bit large at times. All in all, each pitch felt a half grade harder than the given grade.

First climb of the day. Had to think a bit somewhere in the middle and just before the top.

Good climb. Tough at the beginning. The top is enjoyment on good holds.

Warm up climb. Initially the slab has not many holds, mostly slopers. But you can find all you need in the corner to the right.

Then a small crux before a small overhang. Past the crux you are rewarded with good pockets until short before the anchor where it will show if you have preserved some juice for the last move.

Three stars for the unique atmosphere in the cave

Warmup climb. Felt easy for 6a+

Most difficult section is the start - but it isn't really difficult. The slab is afterwards is easy and almost a bit boring. Gently warm-up

Little polished, but it still climbs well

Huge holds throughout.

The route is alright. But the anchor ring is a mess. It's smeared all over with the resin from the glue-in bolts, so you may want to use it with care.

Good climb. The anchor was removed and you have to use the one from the route of the right. But it's no problem.

Makes you work - but has decent holds throughout.

Climbed fast through the pockets and then took a nice rest on the big ledge. The rest is then one cruxy move across the bulge.

Pockets, slab, bulge - and the hardest bit is at the end. Quite complete route!

The start is harder than it looks

Easy warm-up. At the end of the slight overhang you can continue right and around - that felt logical (and very easy) to me. But even if you go left around the protruding edge, it's only slightly more difficult. No way this is a 6a+, even with the lefthand variation. 5+ at most.

Good holds throughout. Very enjoyable. With a bit of spice before the top. Might be only 6a+.

The hardest bit is right at the beginning to get off the ground. Then there are surprisingly good holds throughout the route. It gets ever relaxing to lull you in - when the last meters before the anchor require you to hold on a bit tighter. Surprisingly the route finishes half way up the final slab.

The first half is a technical and almost vertical slab. On the second half the wall angle is a more reclined and it's a relaxed climb to the top.

Beta: On the technical slab below I made the mistake of going up and right instead of heading left for the obvious big and chalked up ledge. I thought it would be too far left. However, there is a nice sidepull that brings you back into the center. My variant on the right felt quite a bit harder and I inwardly cursed the bolters for assigning such a "low" grade. If you keep to the left, then 6a+ is probably alright.

The first few bolts feel a bit like an approach before the actual route starts. There's a bit of a ledge which makes the next bolt feel uncomfortably high. You then get into the corner which is the worthwhile section of the climb. Not too easy not too hard. I'd still give it a 6a+
