21 Hot Pump Action Baby - with lucky chance Sport 25m, 6 Blue Mountains Good Wed 17th Apr 2013
Runout and scary. The climbing wasn't so bad though.

21 Sister Moon Sport 15m, 6 Alfords Point Good Wed 23rd May 2018
Expected better climbing since it was the crag classic...

21 Viper Sport 15m, 10 Blue Mountains Very Good Sun 28th Jan 2024
Way too many bolts, could probably get rid of at least 3? Only 3 bolt plates required though, I took 11 😂

Quite a nice line and good climbing, didn’t enjoy the top mantle too much though!

Cleaning was annoying, down climbed to get the first 3 quickdraws off, then climbed back below the anchor to minimise the swing.

Linked the two together, got the first pitch alright!

21 Do Androids Care — 2 attempts Sport 15m Blue Mountains Good Sat 10th Nov 2012
All over after second bolt, crimp move to jug. Super cruisy afterwards, good warm up. Did it twice. Maybe 20..? Felt super easy second time!

21 Something with Spiders Sport 15m, 6 Blue Mountains Very Good Thu 2nd Jan 2014
The start was quite goey, then splendid climbing to the top! Little crux near the top as well. Didn't see any spiders, however Thanjon did!

Sport 65m Blue Mountains Classic Mon 23rd Oct 2023
Monday afternoon climbs!

Good climbing on Pitch 1, very cruisy and pleasant.

Pitch 2 was super cool! A bit spooky going from cruisy pleasant climbing to immediate 3D climbing, was feeling slow/tough until the 3rd bolt or so, then I started having a fantastic time!!

Crux wasn’t too difficult once read correctly, read it wrong and had to down climb back to the rest. 11 draws required, if you clip every bolt.

Pitch 3, is definitely more of a “vertical scramble to exit” and 12 is generous, but overall, I think this is on the softer side of 18 and 21. One bolt on the chossy ironstone then through trees, don’t climb up the next wall of rock but belay off a tree, tell your second not to fall.

Under 2 hours C2C, with a little getting lost at the end of P3 and Jack nursing his bleeding finger before the P2 crux. Apparently there’s blood all over the crack now, thanks jack!!

Sport 120m Blue Mountains Very Good Sat 9th Mar 2013
1st pitch; tough start, second clean. 2nd pitch; sustained, with a crux up high, clean lead. 3rd pitch; pretty cool moves around that roof, second clean. 4th pitch; very tough, just out of juice, second with rest, pulled on some draws. 5th pitch; poor rock, broke off a few things, second clean.

Sport 38m, 17 Blue Mountains Very Good Sun 29th Dec 2013
I lead pitch 1, Thanjon pitch 2. Read the crux moves wrong and came off Pitch 2 seconded cleanly, cool roof! Pumpy pulling onto the face!

21 22 Rogue Fort Sport 16m Blue Mountains Very Good Wed 2nd May 2018
This was good but probably more 22 than 21! Has a few nice moves.

21 22 Lady Grinning Soul Sport 25m, 7 Blue Mountains Very Good Sat 28th Dec 2013
Really just one move, still good climbing though!

21 Thirty Three Years - with lucky chance Sport 15m, 7 Blue Mountains Very Good Sat 9th Mar 2013
Great fun!! Really enjoyed this one, started up the corner, great climbing.

21 Chasing Amy Sport 22m Blue Mountains Very Good Sat 16th Feb 2013
'Thin & technical slabbing' describes this route perfectly. A nice fight for me right at the end to get to the anchors. The thin section? Just gotta trust in your feet!

21 So, Said The King Sport 20m, 9 Blue Mountains Classic Sun 3rd Feb 2013
Great progression on this route, starts easy and slowly gets harder. The traverse crux was awesome, and scary. In sticky rubber we trust!

21 Blind Fate Sport 8m Blue Mountains Very Good Sat 29th Sep 2012
Either soft for a 21 or just my style! I liked this, fun moves, but not too strenuous, and holds are exactly where you want them! I wish this was longer.

21 Cowboy Clip Sport 10m Blue Mountains Very Good Wed 21st Nov 2012
Super fun, loved the start! Reachy, all jugs, holds after lip are marked, just crank.

21 Diana Ross Sport 15m Blue Mountains Very Good Wed 21st Nov 2012
Low crux. BETA ALERT: At the crux, use a right heel hook. Easy top.

21 Dream Thing - with Jack Ferguson, Caitlyn Sport 15m, 8 Wye Creek Classic Mon 11th Dec 2023
Start was not THAT juggy, or maybe we missed them, can’t read this schist.

Not too bad pulling the lip and the head wall was super enjoyable!

21 Bruised Poonarnee Sport 14m, 6 Mount Alexandra Very Good Fri 18th Apr 2014
Cool bouldery start, more strenuous but less awkward than Galvanise I think.

21 Hang Five Sport 15m, 5 Blue Mountains Good Sun 21st Apr 2019
First day on rock in 2019, daaamn. Hopefully this inactivity is rectified soon!

Anyway, a nice addition (rebolt) to this wall for warmups, the top isn't really too bad...

21 Dr Do Little Sport 15m Blue Mountains Very Good Sun 24th Mar 2013
Not bad, exciting finish. Easy start, but gets tough (and reachy) at the end. Again, quickdraws from another group were on this climb, no beta though!

21 Starman Sport 25m Blue Mountains Very Good Sat 15th Sep 2012
Enjoyed the crux, I committed for once! I think it was a steady 19 after the crux. Getting to first clip is a little unnerving.

21 Lady Stardust Sport 21m, 6 Blue Mountains Very Good Wed 1st Jan 2014
Very enjoyable climbing! Thanjon hated this, however...

21 Kim - with Ben Molnar, Caitlyn, Jack Ferguson Sport 10m, 3 Bonnet Bay Good Mon 1st Jan 2024
Definitely needed the beta for this flash, would’ve been very tricky with zero chalk on this route!

21 B 1 Sport 10m Blue Mountains Crap Wed 15th Jan 2014
Shit. A waste of bolts, time, chalk and climbing shoe rubber. The rock takes 'sand' stone to a whole new level. I was pretty much black by the time I finished this climb (and my belayer too). The last time I had that much sand on me, I was at the beach.

Checked out Backyard Basic, but it was getting destroyed by the sun in the afternoon; so decided to check out Birdwood Gully.

21 When the Spirits are Calling Sport 15m, 8 Blue Mountains Good Sun 12th Jan 2014
More awkward at the grade, then solid, I think. Still sandy, and mantle-y; not a fan.

21 Jigger Jeff (to the ledge) Sport 14m Blue Mountains Good Sun 12th Jan 2014
Not too memorable, just a couple of thin and reachy moves. Footers are mostly good.

21 Duck Tits Sport 16m Blue Mountains Very Good Sun 28th May 2017
Warmup, really nice climbing; a couple quintessential blueys crimp moves.

21 Hang onto Yourself Sport 20m Blue Mountains Very Good Wed 11th Jun 2014
Found a neat way of doing the crux on this ascent; also did the direct mantle start (I chalked up a nice crimp for shorties who can't reach straight through)!

21 Girly Germs Sport 15m Blue Mountains Very Good Fri 2nd Jun 2017
Cleaning up an old dog; SO much easier than when I tried this on my first day back on rock two months ago...

21 These Dogs are Whippets Sport 15m, 5 Blue Mountains Average Fri 2nd Jun 2017
With the draws on, and knowing where to actually go, it was a cruise

21 Flash Flood - with Ben Molnar, Jack Ferguson Sport 18m, 7 Blue Mountains Very Good Mon 1st Apr 2024
A nice warm up, except I definitely did the crux wrong (big drive by) Repeat from 10+ years ago

21 Jingle Bells Sport 15m Blue Mountains Very Good Sun 14th Jan 2018
I guess it's not TOO bad if you don't try to go direct at the crux (like I did the first time I tried this route)

21 Socially Inept - with Ben Molnar, Caitlyn, Jack Ferguson, Robin Kumar, Tinam, Laura Newman Sport 12m, 4 Blue Mountains Very Good Sun 12th May 2024
Repeat, cleaning Still clipped that last draw at my hip…

21 Negative Funk Sport 15m, 7 The Woolwash Very Good Mon 26th Aug 2013
Goddamn, about time. First shot today as a 'warm-up', did go relatively easy; except the very last move.

21 Scramble Syndrome — 2 attempts Sport 20m Blue Mountains Very Good Mon 30th Dec 2013
Underrated good climbing! Committed to a nothing hold at the crux and came off. Second shot went really easily. More 20 than 21.

21 22 Entourage Sport 16m Blue Mountains Don't Bother Fri 9th Mar 2018
Didn't like it; doesn't climb like a sport route (or very nicely at all)

Questionable rock quality also. Holds have definitely broken off this; but if you like trad, it might not be too bad?

21 Fist Full of Steel Sport 12m, 4 Nowra Classic Sat 6th Oct 2012
Clipped the anchor from the two jugs (long anchor draw on) but just missed the last move! Grr! Absolutely spectacular route though! Cruised through the bottom section.

Sport 40m, 16 Blue Mountains Very Good Mon 25th Jan 2021
Tough at 21, I thought, but I was also baking in the sun from halfway up P1... Then was blinded.

2nd pitch is definitely easier than the first, and in a very different style.

6b+ Humanality - with Chris Lam Sport 110m, 45 Ton Sai Mega Classic Wed 6th Apr 2022
Swinging leads with Chris, what an absolute mega position and view. Crux pitch (lead by Chris) was outrageous and awesome. Have no idea how to climb this type of rock!

21 19 Double Standards Sport 17m Blue Mountains Good Tue 4th Dec 2012
Cruisy choss to start, quite reachy. The loudest scream award goes to me dynoing the two crimps to the gaston. Didn't stick it first time, but got it second go, barely. Not worth another lap at this time of day. Moves will be nice if this cleaned up! Definitely not a 19 for someone at my height, that move was BURLY. At least 21 if you're 5 foot 6?

21 Disinclined Sport 45m Blue Mountains Fri 25th Sep 2015
Pretty much just the first half for photos, heh. Endurance is non-existent...
