Sport 45m Blue Mountains Mega Classic Tue 1st May 2018
Fought hard to get this one; there's just so much climbing and such quality moves through-out.

Super awesome climbing, loved it!

22 Ladder of Death Sport 10m, 5 Berowra Classic Sat 7th Oct 2023
Classic for Sydney standards. If only the start wasn’t sandy!

Striking line that I’ve known about for years, was smaller than expected and very happy to onsight it!

Didn’t do Gloom today due to lack of time, but have my beta for the start thanks to Ben!

22 Wake Up and Apologise Sport 38m, 16 Blue Mountains Very Good Sun 29th Dec 2013
I lead pitch 1, Thanjon pitch 2. Start of 1 was awkward, rest was fairly cruisy. Pitch 2 was fingery, but not too hard (with small fingers) Clean on second.

22 Do Androids Like Duckos Sport 12m Blue Mountains Very Good Fri 2nd Jun 2017
Happy I read all the bottom moves correctly, I think the moves are actually really fun and gym-like! Just needs some chalk and love! (it had none)

22 La Niña Sport 25m, 10 Blue Mountains Classic Sun 1st Dec 2013
Thanks for making me lead this Paul! Apart from the fear of not leading in a long time, I genuinely enjoyed this route! Consistently sustained the whole way, there's one obvious crux sequence but has a good rest following it. Spent at least 10 minutes at the no hander below the anchors.

Rope got stuck on a horn as I was rethreading and retying, Paul had to climb up the rope (via another rope with Dana belaying) in order to free it.

22 Company C Sport 16m Blue Mountains Very Good Wed 2nd May 2018
Thin for a few moves, surrounded by pleasant climbing

22 F Troop Sport 16m, 4 Blue Mountains Very Good Wed 2nd May 2018
Steeper than the others, but with bigger holds. Was fairly pumped!

22 Room With a View Sport 15m Blue Mountains Very Good Sat 4th Jan 2014
Looks like everything here is pretty solid at the grade, not the best warm up (for me, too pumpy). Fun climbing, though, with an obvious crux sequence.

22 Jug Buzz Sport 15m, 6 Blue Mountains Very Good Wed 28th Nov 2012
Pumpy! good holds to shake out on. some crimps and pockets thrown in amongst the jugs. moves weren't too strenuous!

22 Extension Lead Sport 20m Blue Mountains Classic Tue 4th Dec 2012
Big throw to start, then awesome technical moves on good holds until the top, flows well, must do!

22 SWALK Sport 25m Blue Mountains Classic Tue 4th Dec 2012
Great climbing! Cruxy start, but was easy for me. Straight forward finish but still very fun!

22 It Goes! Sport 15m Blue Mountains Very Good Sat 7th Dec 2013
Easy for a 22, although that doesn't mean that I wasn't extremely pumped!!

22 Just Boot It Sport 15m Blue Mountains Very Good Sat 14th Dec 2013
Actually enjoyed this route quite a lot! Pumpy, just gotta keep moving. Stick clipped the first bolt. I love the massive jug down low.

22 Lardy Lady's Lats Sport 25m, 13 Blue Mountains Very Good Mon 29th May 2017
Really good, borderline classic, I liked Hot Flyer more! Almost didn't stick the crux!

22 Shut the Gate Sport 15m Blue Mountains Very Good Sat 9th Sep 2017
Warmup, love the top! Fantastic (but spooky) moves

22 Fridge and the Freezer Sport 50m Blue Mountains Very Good Thu 10th Sep 2015
Flashed the first pitch, to my surprise... Had to really fight for it though... Really nice climbing, had all the holds sorted out thanks to Paul! Second pitch, on second and with a rest; shoulder felt not so great...

22 Seamstress Sport 22m, 10 Blue Mountains Classic Sun 12th Jan 2014
Really great pumpy warm up. Cool moves at the start, and an 'easy crux' if you're short; pumpy all the way to the anchors, just gotta keep moving. Splendid climbing!

22 21 Friendly Fire Sport 12m, 4 Blue Mountains Good Sun 23rd Sep 2012
Definitely not a 22. Sustained climbing, but it's not too long or powerful. I'd say 20-21. Awkward crux though, got some elvis leg!

22 Thai Virus - with Ben Molnar, Jack Ferguson Sport 25m, 10 Blue Mountains Very Good Mon 1st Apr 2024
Cleaning up a 10 year old hangdog, crux done directly on the bolt

22 Stereo - with Ben Molnar Sport 20m Blue Mountains Very Good Sat 4th May 2024
Less cruxy than Thai Virus, a touch more sustained, pretty good!

22 Guillotine Pitch 1 — 2 attempts Sport 48m, 23 Blue Mountains Classic Wed 30th Jan 2013
Second shot. Used the crap out of that tree, I feel a little guilty! Otherwise, great moves all the way to the top, great climbing!

22 Nylon Happy Sport 20m, 8 Blue Mountains Classic Sat 9th Feb 2013
First shot of the day (second all up), changed my pre-crux beta up (Thanks to Hannan) and cruised it! Started raining as I got to the anchor. Great!!

22 Passing Wind — 2 attempts Sport 30m Blue Mountains Mega Classic Sun 2nd Dec 2012
Fell off my onsight (in a fun, dramatic fashion [tumbling sideways down the wall]) due to the humidity. Dogged it during the top section to work out the holds and chalk them up! Super fun! Went second shot. Boulder start, technical middle and pumpy finish. Cheers to Paul for getting me down here otherwise I wouldn't have gotten on this hidden gem. Well worth the effort of getting in.

22 Ruddy Norry — 2 attempts Sport 14m, 4 Blue Mountains Very Good Sun 17th Feb 2013
Pretty nice, except going to put on the first bolt plate/quickdraw! Fell at the crux on my first attempt, pretty damn pumped, messing about with sequences. Got it, second shot, it went easily.

22 War Babies — 2 attempts - with Rob Medlicott, Chris, Lachy Sport 12m, 5 Blue Mountains Very Good Sun 9th Apr 2017
First go to put up draws and remember beta; no chalk anywhere!

Sent second go easy!

22 These People are Sandwiches Sport 15m Blue Mountains Classic Sun 10th Sep 2023
Still find this solid at the grade, just glad I didn’t take that fall which has haunted me for years 😂

A pleasure today but still induced quite the pump.

22 Hang onto Yourself — 2 attempts Sport 20m Blue Mountains Very Good Sun 18th Nov 2012
High first bolt, tricky and scary crux. Completely out of balance! Not really pumpy, just... odd body position! All over after the third clip. Fell off crux on first go, didn't commit to the climb, and took the fall, so I wasn't (too) worried the second time. Soft.

22 Lay la Kay Sport 12m, 5 Blue Mountains Very Good Wed 26th Sep 2012
Kind friend put up the draws for me and I got it first shot today after working it on Sunday, so stoked! Cruxy start, good holds when you need them too!

22 Sister Rosa — 2 attempts Sport 18m, 8 Blue Mountains Very Good Sun 23rd Sep 2012
Two tries. Fell off first time doing the boulder problem, figured out beta from the ground and got it all statically second time around! (I'm short too) Awkward mantle. Fun move out of the lip, and it gets easier as you go up. I got so into it, I almost climbed past the anchor!

22 Daffy Sport 20m Blue Mountains Classic Sat 28th Apr 2018
Tried to warm up on this a while ago; only for the flash pump to absolutely ruin me...

Went super smoothly today! Great route! Pumpy as for 22.

22 Fat Yak - with Will Vidler
1 22 40 Sport
2 20 20 Sport lead by Will Vidler
3 21 40 Sport lead by Will Vidler
Sport 100m Blue Mountains Very Good Tue 1st May 2018
Should've probably onsighted this one but grabbed some gear for a second to find a hold... Turns out, I had already touched the hold I needed to use but just missed the EXACT spot... Oops!

A super stupid bolt position in the top half really detracted from the route. Had to build a cairn on the ledge to clip the bolt. Other option was to crank/campus on the fragile ironstone edges with my last clip 4-5m below me...

Did the top two pitches as one big (it's seriously long) in the dark on second, all clean with a flickering head torch. I think the top pitch would have been stunning if I could climb it during the day!

22 Beggars Banquet P1 - with Will Vidler
1 22 30m lead by Will Vidler
Sport 30m Blue Mountains Very Good Tue 1st May 2018
Hard for the grade, did it all clean except I accidentally trod on a bolt down low while barn dooring; dang.

22 23 Hairy Horrace Sport 12m Blue Mountains Good Sat 27th Oct 2012
Climbed till second clip, had a short rest to figure out the crux moves and got it first go. 22 in the book, and probably is a 22, not a 23. Will go next time for sure!

22 Just Technical Sport 15m Point Perpendicular Very Good Sat 26th Jan 2013
Got spanked. Extremely reachy for me, EXTREMELY. Crux sequence is pretty full on, would be a hard onsight I think...

22 Praise the Llewd Sport 25m Blue Mountains Don't Bother Thu 16th Jan 2014
Climb should have ended after the lay backing; the rest is weird face climbing on crumbly and chossy rock (broke what felt like a solid right hand crimp right off). Other holds must have broken off, it's not 22. Second it to clean it.

22 Progress Comes to Shitsville Sport 10m, 6 Mount Alexandra Good Fri 18th Apr 2014
Hard!! Wanted to destroy the rest of my energy, and we were short on time; so top roped it (and dogged the shit out of it). Some pretty tough moves around that flake down low!

22 Pallets of Pies (Variant) Sport 10m Blue Mountains Very Good Tue 22nd Apr 2014
Much more consistent than the original Pallet of Pies. Direct start hurts, then committed to a wrong hold and came off; but next time it should go really easily!

22 S.S.C.C.3 Sport 33m Blue Mountains Very Good Fri 25th Sep 2015
Rain + slippery arete and footers = bad.

22 Moan Groan Dial Tone Sport 15m Blue Mountains Very Good Sat 28th Jun 2014
Noooo, came off below the anchor...

22 Dreamin' Head-Jams Sport 10m Blue Mountains Average Mon 28th Jan 2013
Possibly the weirdest route I have ever done. This climb was quite an experience for me. Climbed perfectly by Gene, thought I'd be able to repeat it pretty easily, I was wrong. The climb is off-widthy, laybacky, body-tensiony and slimey; although there are some crappy face holds you can use... kind of.

22 Copperhead on Ice Sport 50m Blue Mountains Very Good Thu 10th Sep 2015
Not as good as Fridge and the freezer on the left, didn't quite like the start; it was just bad holds and not very great moves!

22 Three Hour Commute Sport 17m, 7 Blue Mountains Very Good Sat 10th Jun 2017
Start scares me, but nearly onsighted; tickled the jug after at the end of the crux but couldn't latch it; rest was easy.

22 Plumtastic Sport 16m Blue Mountains Very Good Sat 21st Nov 2015
Climbed a lot better than last time, but still feeling sick and quite bleh

22 Eucalyptus (Link-up) - with Matt, Chris, Lachy Sport 20m, 7 Blue Mountains Very Good Sat 8th Apr 2017
Too pumpy; but all good, more days out will result in more fitness!

22 Seamstress-Less Sport 22m Blue Mountains Very Good Sat 29th Aug 2015
Way too weak (and soft) now... Need more time on rock; did most of it clean then forearms/hands just said nope.

22 24 A Most Profligate Sinner Sport 18m Blue Mountains Sat 28th Dec 2013
Hard at 22, and I didn't even do the whole route! Lowered off at the rooflet, definitely feeling soft today...

22 Tramontane Sport 10m Blue Mountains Good Mon 28th Jan 2013
Bouldery, requires some precise footwork. No steam left to do the mantle, it was tough. Tried it about 4 times, then lowered off so Gene could clean. Perhaps, I'd be able to do this route next time, but definitely not an end of dayer... Best to rappel to clean this route, long draws on the anchor helps when lowering off too!

22 Left for a bit Sport 16m Blue Mountains Don't Bother Sat 31st Oct 2015
Surely something broke... I had to crimp freaken nothings. Dirty holds too...
