Ascents in Arapiles by Vanessa Wills having trad-cpr or ascent-date

I am pretty sure I belayed the FA of this a decade ago and declined to do it due to skin and reach. I was obviously more sensible back then. Everything today felt quite spoogy. This took a few more goes than it should have for the first 4 metres. I just kept sliding off the hold at the end of the crux next to the wire placement. It’s really a direct start to Psalm 69

Second go today, put some gear in, managed to hang on despite muffing sequence

Having seconded this a long time ago cleanly, I didn’t give it proper respect and botched the hand sequence on the Alzheimers OS attempt. Then got rained on twice,though fortunately the lower part of the route stayed mostly dry

About 4 grades easier than claw. Lots of gear. Nice enough.

Had forgotten pretty much everything from a couple of years ago, but managed it second shot today. Worth a lead this trip. A bit of a hidden gem

Personal top rope grade 19, probably feels worse on lead. We did the start but finished through roof to right

Really nice route. Because it’s hidden behind the annoying bush I will mention a #4 is handy. Did quite different approach to Dave due to reach at the start to get crack. Then quite sustained climbing but good stances for gear.

Led up to crux ( again) but not sure what to do, go right or left, but with a bit of beta spray managed it on top rope. It’s all about a super high right foot cam. Oh well, it partially clears up the old dog….

Oops, I was meant to be warming up on Nativity. I thought the jugs were a bit small. The bottom half is good, just abseil off the rings.

Enjoyed this, double ropes with a high runner to protect start put in from Hendrix

Good climbing. Managed to kick my wire Out of the roof but was committed by that stage

Borderline classic, if it stayed harder longer, but then it would go up a grade. Committing and pumpy for me. Used 2 ropes.

Really nice route and a big stretch, the fewest bees I have seen around this.

A good way to exhaust ourselves before/ as the rain hit with a couple of runs on this. Shame about the ledges.

Had seconded a decade ago, but couldn't recall anything. Goes up to classic on lead due to the scare factor. Our 60 m rope would have got down from anchors, but I used doubles

Gah. Came off at end of undercling section. Definitely not the first to do that. I did second this clean about 12 years ago, but I had forgotten everything…

Led P2, both pitches good value. Unfortunately didn't find the rap station and with rain starting we did a speed ascent of syrinx, kind of, traversing off right and back down Ali's before we got too wet

One sit. The route finding isn’t obvious. We went right then up then left then right! Double ropes would be useful

Final climb at araps for brief trip. Great way to finish.

Good rock, but humidity and flies and inability to reach between horizontals led to a slight mcdougalling at the start. Felt really slippery.

Took me 2 goes to figure out short person beta, did it clean third go, the fell on lead twice, feel smashed in the 35 degree heat. I reckon add a grade if short.

Felt 19 to me, a bit daunting as couldn't reach above into crack to place gear to ease the crux nerves.

I thought I was on WATP until looking at guide book. The bolts aren't that new. Very thin and would still feel quite bold.

Would have been 3 stars if it ended after joining Electra, but the top traversing bit is on dubious rock. Two ropes pretty useful.

Was going to pink point it, but wanted a Long sling on the first of the RPs which made me think I should just top rope it

Rpt with Dave. I think it felt as hard on second as it did leading. More Fixed gear at the moment than when I did it

Got on the right route today. Quite nice. The low roof shared with Honeycomb feels stout for the grade

Fell off after second bolt going for jug. May have been too pumped to place cams anyway. 2nd go still pumpy.

A Mark Moorhead 23, I should have guessed, harder than the 24s I have done in the last few weeks. Very cruxy for 4 metres. I think I sorted short persons beta, but linking the moves would have no margin for error ( let alone trying to place gear). Notes to self: backstep left foot at fridge and match under roof, right hand to slopes, left to quarter pad crimp, left foot in small dish, right half way up corner, and then move foot higher to finally hit a decent hold

Can I blame adam demmert for making this polished? First 2 goes it felt impossible after getting to second piton, but third go I went from second piton to finish clean. But just can't figure out how to reach into the finger lock at that point.

Huge span left me crucified. Trucking up flake fun. Stayed dry in drizzle

Not great. A couple of boulder problems with bolt protection on pitch 2, but something new to get up the pinnacle.

Not too bad, and under the abseil point. Probably has ok gear
