One toprope lap to try the mantle and the top moves. Then pulled the crux easily first try on lead. Through the top corner, I had not worked out gear and had really tough time fiddling with RPs and microcams in the middle. On the last hard move, the hand foot layback match on the good crimp I slipped off from well above my 00 Dragonfly. It held and then so did the rope in the roof crack. Pulled back on after aiding back to where I fell and climbed to the top. Didn't have it in me mentally to give it another crack this trip. The route probably deserves 25.

blew the onsite with a foot slip and taking bolt plates that didn't fit the bolts. Had to bail off a sling on the last bolt to collect another bolt plate and then climb to the top.

Was dirty, meaning I had to squeeze extra hard on the long sections of .75 and 1. Thumb got a serious workout, and I could have used another .75 because I had about a 6m runout above the half way ledge. Top section was really fun. Felt stiff for a large hand climber.

TR about 3 moves to unlock. Quite enjoyable

Unbelievable it has taken this long for this route to be revealed. Took a substantial amount of ivy removal and earthworks to uncover but was absolutely worth it! Such an interesting line with imense variety, great gear, and the finish is fantastic. So impressed with Hannah's attitude towards this FA, she was super motivated and put in a lot of work to produce a modern classic of the gorge.

Conditions were worse than the last time I tried this and I couldn't even get to the crux.

worked out gear and beta on the first burn tied in for a red point ascent did one move and then decided I was way to exhausted to jump on.

Thought I was on lamplighter but this was a bit exciting

2nd go placing gear for beers.

2 belayers, BIG swinging whips and bash-in carrots. Lots of fun. Unfortunately sat after the crux because the route was 60% moss and I was pumped and scared

Turns out it was done many decades ago but has likely not seen repeats. Cleaned the whole line and installed a bolted lower-off, this route deserves some traffic, and hopefully the new hardware goes somewhere to making it happen. Good gear, great movement and a beautiful crag.

Onsight attempt saw me one move away from hitting the good holds, gear is hard to place and moves are quite strenuous. Good climb

Didnt get past the 25 crack start. Way too tired. Super cool movements.

Clean to the crux and then I started leaking blood from my finger all over the wall and could not use the imaginary holds with bloody hands. Super keen to have another crack at this

What a position! I was scared and tired while trying this and felt almost completely incapable of any moves. So much faff to try and TRS this route.

Fell above the 2nd bolt and back cleaned back to the anchor.

What a great route! A crack test piece, super sustained and great gear. So much fun.

not as pure a line as thin fiend however still some great moves

You do not want to fall on this. I think I would have left a couple of fingers in the crack if this happened. Other that that a fun line.

Fantastic climbing and protection with a bit of spice in the traverse

Whipped from the overhanging offwidth trying to manage my rope.

Could not for the life of me reach the extra couple of inches to pull through the crux. Considered a dyno to a flared hand jam but couldn't commit to the whip into a ledge if I missed. Downclimbed and bailed after the first pitch

I felt like a penguin attempting the first move onto the boulder because I pretty much only used my nose to stand up. Once I was in the crack it was smooth sailing, until I accidentally caught a lizard while attempting another finger jam. Both of us made it out alive, but not without feeling a bit stupid.

Both of these routes get better at the top.
