Ascents in World by Patrick Munnings having trad-cpr or ascent-date

A wonderful two days climbing to the summit of Bai Yan Si. The route is very approachable and route finding was fairly common sense. Stoked to spend the night in the cave at pitch 12 and play some cards and drink too much baiju. The altitude made me work pretty hard and climbing with a pack meant the hard free moves were not so approachable. Pulled on one draw at the crux of both hard pitches. Was a memorable adventure with wonderful company.

Felt good to put this away at the end of a hard session on Another World. My absolute anti-style but super fun and very unique.

Unfortunately mislead by the chalk at the second last bolt. Absolutely mega fun. I'll be back for the clean ascents of these routes

One fall. Unbelievable day out. Weather was sublime, my family came to watch, the route is so beautiful, and there were no hiccups. Felt like a breeze shame about the fall but it did not take away from the experience at all.

Didnt get past the 25 crack start. Way too tired. Super cool movements.

Got to the top this time! And turns out, thats where the rest of the stars are collected. So fun and pumpy!

Clean to the crux and then I started leaking blood from my finger all over the wall and could not use the imaginary holds with bloody hands. Super keen to have another crack at this

Conditions were worse than the last time I tried this and I couldn't even get to the crux.

This climb is spectacular! So steep and the belay stance is epic. Traverse moves around the arete on slopers is one of the best sequences of climbing I've done. Really keen to try this when the low crux isn't a waterfall. Might have a chance at pulling the moves then.

2 sessions so far. Have done all but the first crux. Might not have the route fittness to finish it off in the last 3 days of the trip. So glad to be on this dream route of mine though.

Day 3, did all 3 cruxes with 3 sits/falls.

Still can't work out the one move between me and glory...

No tick. The crux move was a reach compression deadpoint slap with smeared feet above a ledge. Kind of made committing to the ledge fall move at the crux less enticing. There is a great mantle move near the start but other than that everything was absolute max span and quite intimidating

Great face climbing so long as you are tall enough. Good big edges most of the way and some fun foot moves.

Super quality route, absolutely fantastic rock, movement and gear. How good is it to climb routes like this so close to home!

Amazing climbing on an amazing cliff. Felt really close on the crux move but just couldn't quite stick the hold. Diabolical is a fair assessment of this move for the grade. The rest of the climbing was spectacular. Particularly through the bulge. Can't wait to spend more time on this wall.

Didn't make it happen. Sore fingers and it is really hard

blew the onsite with a foot slip and taking bolt plates that didn't fit the bolts. Had to bail off a sling on the last bolt to collect another bolt plate and then climb to the top.

These Two routes share a few holds and stances, but climb quite independently. The 4th bolt is a little terrifying. Best to either have a very long draw on it or do the pop/dyno to the jug before clipping the bolt. If you come off the very strenuous stance to clip this bolt you will most likely deck.

Could not be more different to the first half of the route, delicate, powerful and flexible climbing on mostly imaginary footholds.

Absolutely on the whole way, the first bolt is really hard to clip and the 2nd seems pretty high and dangerous. Cool layback finger intense movements

Fantastic climb with great variety of moves. Would be a classic if it was a bit longer. It's not over till the fat lady sings. Quality the whole way.

First spin on this mega route. Got it clean past the roof. Struggled on the top crux and got to the top. I can't wait to be on the pointy end of this!
