Last tick of the summer down under. Lovely route. Tomahawk is the next goal, gotta do some bouldering first.

Second go. Really good route, not as classic as its big dog neighbours but still really great movement in a really stellar position. Don’t sleep on this one!

Good old technical arete climbing.

First of the grade in the final few days of the trip. What a stellar route. Very excited to have finally put it all together after a few too many falls where I shouldn’t have.

First RP burn after a beta lap or two the other day. Terrific!

Second go after biffing of the start. 4 stars if ever there were that many to give.

On our last day got it pretty well dialed to one fall. Took one of the bigger whips of my life punting off the jug before the final hard moves. Next time I’m in North America this will be high on the list for sure.

Dropped it at the second bolt on the OS then straight to the top. Very fun.

Linked everything on the first go except for two sections. Neither felt show stopper, just required some out-of-the-box thinking to gain the next clip at each stage. Doesn’t feel far off going in a single push. Excited for the next burn.

Like playing the lottery. Some times the stars align, but more often than not you’re left sad, dejected and reeling in a lump on the ground.

First go of the day. Has been on my mind since last summer. Psyched to have gone to the chains in a single pitch this morning.

Funky and fun.

This route demands a blood tax, and the blood tax has been paid.

Second go. Great climbing. Keen to try the direct start to end up in a beautifully straight line.

Very enjoyable. Delicately powerful with some great moves.

What a route. Full of class bottom to top. Has been a really journey working on this and it’s lovely to see the effort rewarded in such a clean fun send. Well worth every bit of effort.

Should have one bolt, probably harder than 21.

Got it on the second go after a very sloppy read on the onsight. So much fun, would be worth coming back for the solo. The bolting is spot on too!

Absolute quality top to bottom. Very impressive rock quality for the red centre, has set the expectations high on the first day.

Hard as fuck. With the amount of holds coming off the beta is changing every session. Absolutely stellar though, can’t stay away. Much harder than 26.

Logged some time on this today. Roof climbing isn’t my strong suit so it was nice to get this one done and dusted.

One onsight burn with taped digits, one red point burn with tape on six fingers, one send raw-dogging it with bare tips. As good as they come.

Linked into it after burning off Belgian Tourist. Didn’t realise there was a soft option going right so used up the last of my tips going left. Worth it though, keeps you on edge.

Good if you’re looking to thin down your tips a little for that futuristic finger crack you’re projecting, otherwise I’d just walk around.

What a pleasure to climb.

Fun as a warm up, but probably not 24.

Looks like it would be about 24 and looks like it would be just about the best route at Reflux, looks like it won’t take much effort for to be sent and looks like it has been cleaned up well very recently.

Good climbing for a sport route, probably doesn’t deserve the verbal abuse it gets from punters every weekend though, not as hard as it looks.

So much fun. Felt very unattainable on an end of the day top rope, but came back today, fell three times on stupid mistakes and then finally punched it to the top. No super hard cruxes, just good climbing at the grade the whole way. What a blast.

I can’t remember the last time I enjoyed something this much. Absolutely stunning start to finish. It really is such a pleasure to find yourself straddling an arete in such a beautiful part of the world. 10/10.

So beautiful. Climbs like a story from an old bloke in a country pub, exciting start to finish and a little hard to follow, but ultimately worth it. So very fun, loved it a lot.

Super fun, throwy moves the whole way. Read the moves right and blew the last move of the crux by being a little wuss. Commit commit commit!

Felt soft for the grade, and the last pitch really detracts from what would otherwise be a decent climb. If I was in the area I’d probably just go and do 3 laps on Two Tall Oxen for a better day out.

Super fun climbing. Tactical use of a heel hook during the crux was very exciting. Glad to have sent it on the second session. Kind of wish that I could have worked it longer, so enjoyable. Definitely a 2 star route.
