Seriously had to work for the 2nd day flash on this masterpiece of rock. Trad climbing doesn't get better. Steep, perfect rock, long, and I had to power scream on the last move because I didn't have good beta. Bloody fun day out.

Start corner felt like the crux. The rest just kind of happened by keeping on chugging. Felt good but was so hot and sweaty.

Don't know how I stayed on. So fun!

Whent out to give it a suss on top rope. First lap felt okay with a few sits and 2nd lap did it clean. It just goes and goes and goes and goes. Super fun day out. What could be better than toproping one of the best routes in the country and spending time up at the Ben with a friend!

Had an onsight go that ended quickly. Then toprpoed the crux section and sent to the top. Then came down and lead it from the ground. Somewhat shakily

Ascents don't come much better than this. Really gave it some beans and scraped through to the half way rest where it backs off significantly to a beautiful splitter hand crack to the top. So fun!!

Another dream climb to return for. Did all the moves but there is a seriously epic boulder problem near the top. So stoked I could try it.

2 sessions so far. Have done all but the first crux. Might not have the route fittness to finish it off in the last 3 days of the trip. So glad to be on this dream route of mine though.

Day 3, did all 3 cruxes with 3 sits/falls.

I hope this stays as the most sandbagged 24 at Araps instead of being upgraded. probably harder than most 25s around and some of the 26s. Went first lead attempt without inspecting the gear, however this could have been a good idea. Got to the crux where I was sure a blue hex would slot in but found it to be too big for any of the gear I brought with me. I ended up stacking a red and blue hex which seemed to not be going anywhere, committed to the crux move and sent. stoked! A bum rock classic!

Really technical beautiful movement small holds and tricky gear

Discovered that on my onsight go a few weeks ago, I had done the crux. Felt beautiful and flowy, great day!

Definitely recommended to rap inspect this one before getting on it. The RP and micro cam placements at the crux are blind and fiddly. The moves and rock quality are fantastic. Shame it gets a little close to Bautzen just to the right. Felt good the whole way!

Sent in full sun, definate ground fall if you came off clipping the 2nd bolt, which is a little scary considering there are no handholds. The rest of the bolting is good and nuts or small cams can be taken for the top if desired. A super quality and technical route.

Seriously tough. Pure finger locking on mostly shallow or difficult locks with very few face holds for respite. was fun but my fingers are now minced. Best I could manage was three sits on TR. So Fun!!

A hidden gem of the gorge. Technical and hard finger locking and jambing with no faceholds except for a rounded arete. Awesome gear, a little tricky to place at the start and finishes up some classic gorge spikes and drill holes.

Some hard high stepping moves that I felt close to falling off. very fun movement

The final roof and finger crack was wet and very hard so I finished by bouldering to the 25 on the right arete and running it out to the anchor. Fun time

Felt not too bad, just need to sort the direct start and ill have a lead go

Big wall mission, questionable style, littering, loitering, but still better ethics than the British.

A magic line. Not quite as hard as I was expecting, but the gear might be where some extra difficulty comes in. 2 laps, 4 sits on the 2nd lap. So long!

Nails moves off the deck. Really packs a punch for a 7m route. Up and down climbed the start a few times before working it out.

The hardest 24 at Araps according to HB. Set up a toprope and did the move. Hopefully I get a chance this trip. A great line on awesome rock.

A spectacular pitch of climbing with difficulty increasing the whole way. Absolutely magic

Contrived, poorly bolted and either really hard or really easy

First redpoint burn after working moves on lead the day before.

This route saw the worst fall of my life and a subsequent concussion last year. Great to tick it next go a year later. I was fairly scared.

unique style for dolerite and very enjoyable

Very fun movement. Nice being longer to span between the aretes

With the right beta, this is less height specific, but definitely reach the way I went.
