Routes as sport in Edinburgh / East Lothian / Fast Castle

The blindingly obvious stepped seam just left of Shear Fear. A surprisingly over-looked line that makes a nice sport route and a good warm-up for Shear Fear.

A good sport addition in between the two Wallys and independent of both. Climb the slim groove with an ugly mantle to start then elegant climbing up and onto the final ledge.

The left hand arte on its right side.

First line to the right of the arete

Left start to Law of Gravity

Starting from the low ledge on the right.

Start of the ledge with a very hard move past the overlap.

Climb the corner then take the thin crack up the left wall gaining the ledge and flake above

Girdle starting up arte of Nectie

Climb the corner groove and continue up the slab

Eliminate right of the corner

Middle line up the wall and smeary bulge then easy slab.

Squeezed line to right with one very hard move off a one finger pocket

Start below the right hand arete on the slab and climb up to this then the slab left of the arete.

The blunt arete of the slab

Central line on the buttress with a technical lower wall leading to a powerful finish. Beware the crumble.

Clip the first bolt of Rumble and climb up and right to a delicate exit at the right end of the roof.

Climb Freakin’ to the 3rd bolt then direct over roof.

An eliminate line between The Wanderer and Jungle Boogie. Pull through the first bulge using the obvious side pull (crux) and tackle the second bulge head-on, without escaping left onto The Wanderer.
