Sun 2nd Jun 2024 - Mitcham Quarries
Tusmore Towers
27 ~26 Cycle Sluts from Hell - with Paul Kinnane, Redanon Sport 9m, 3 Very Good
Really nice face climbing with some pretty cool moves along the seam, pity it’s not longer. It was my second sesh on it and got it I’m definitely not the first one to downgrade routes, but honestly I don’t think it’s 27. There is just one full on crimpy move but otherwise the holds are not bad. I expected crimps from hell at 27. Also, it has some new bolts and chains, so it’s all safe.

Sat 25th May 2024 - Mitcham Quarries
Tusmore Towers
22 Queen Vixen - with Paul Kinnane Sport 5 Good
Nice access route. The moves are good, however the top section still has some loose rock.

Sun 12th May 2024 - Onkaparinga
Red Cliff Right Tier
25 Any Colour You Like - with Paul Kinnane, Maya Kinnane Sport 18m, 7 Good
Second sesh on it. The first time I figured out the beta and today it turned that my crucial hold was loose, so the whole sequence went to the bin. After messing around for a while I came up with a solution that was better than the previous one. No cutting loose for me at any point; kneebars work pretty well though Anyway, it was pretty good, although hard to read.

Sun 5th May 2024 - Mt Stapylton Campground
The Guardhouse
24 Ranger Danger - with Paul Kinnane Sport 13m, 5 Very Good
Oh, I was so close to on sighting it... Came off on the last hard move :-( Anyway, It went second go. Really cool start, then easy to a rest, where you can get enough power back for the last sequence.

23 Little George - with Paul Kinnane Sport 14m, 4 Very Good
Great climbing with some hard bits. Got it second go (first run was a warm up :-P).

23 Miss Communication - with Paul Kinnane Sport 10m, 4 Very Good
I enjoyed it a lot, really cool moves; I would give it more stars if it was longer. Pretty happy with a flash.

Sat 4th May 2024 - Hollow Mountain (N & NE side of Mt. Stapylton)
Van Diemen's Land
23 Cosmic Psycho - with Paul Kinnane Sport 25m, 6 Very Good
Omg, I messed up my onsight and came up with some shit beta through the bottom pockets, so I didn’t pull it second or third go. Then I got angry, figured out a new beta and just ticked it.

21 Physical Graffiti - with Paul Kinnane Sport 15m, 4 Good
Quite q different style to what I normally climb, so I looked a bit uncomfortable and made it look hard.

Thu 25th Apr 2024 - Onkaparinga
Red Cliff Main Wall - Lust sector
29 Greed - with Paul Kinnane Sport 25m, 11 Classic
Oh wow! I got Greedy today First go after the warm up. Finally good weather conditions, after working it in the heat and baking sun for weeks.

Sun 21st Apr 2024 - Onkaparinga
Red Cliff Main Wall - Lust sector
27 ENVY - with Dan millar Sport 11 Very Good
Completely unexpected send! The plan was to work on Greed but 1. it was in the sun, 2. after coming g off Envy at the top I had to give it one more go. So good! Oh, and it’s my second second ascent.

Tue 2nd Apr 2024 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Centennial Glen Wave Wall
24 Jaqueline Hyde — 2 attempts - with Paul Kinnane Sport 15m, 6 Very Good
I got it second go after sorting out the traverse (if only I noticed this low left footer on my flash attempt…) Probably a bit soft for 24 but I’ll give myself this grade as I didn’t use the holds in the corner. 😉

Sun 31st Mar 2024 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Celebrity Crags Sharon Stone
25 Year of the Gun - with Paul Kinnane Sport 20m, 9 Very Good
Had two goes on it yesterday and I thought that I would get it after coming back fresh. Instead I came back today completely wrecked and with not much skin on my fingers. Pointless. Maybe one day I will learn to listen to my body.

Sun 31st Mar 2024 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Celebrity Crags Jimmy Cliff
18 Mr Scumbag - with Paul Kinnane Sport 20m Good
Chilled climbing.

19 Jimmy Valmer - with Paul Kinnane Sport 20m, 7
Pretty good, easy climbing leading to a bit though provoking sequence through crimps (you can stand on the ledge and think about it forever though), then easy again.

18 Johnny's Jalopies - with Paul Kinnane Sport 20m, 7 Very Good
Nice and cruisy.

Sat 30th Mar 2024 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Celebrity Crags Sharon Stone
23 Sensory Overload - with Paul Kinnane Sport 20m, 12 Classic
So good and so pumpy.

Sat 30th Mar 2024 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Celebrity Crags Oliver Stone
23 Find The Positive - with Paul Kinnane Sport 15m, 7 Very Good
Really good climbing but pumpy, I was very happy about getting to the knee bar at the last draw.

Fri 29th Mar 2024 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Centennial Glen Main Wall
25 Madge McDonald - with Paul Kinnane Sport 12m, 7 Classic
Finally I pulled the sequence at the top, third go today, third time/trip on it. The pressure was on, knowing I was allowed just one session on Madge this trip 😜

Wed 14th Feb 2024 - Norton Summit
The Cave
23 Little Rundle Street - with jason, Paul Kinnane Sport 20m, 5 Good
Pretty cool little route. The face section around the fourth bolt was a bit surprising (awkward clip); I found a frog squat just before that harder bit, which saved me while I was thinking what to do.

Sun 4th Feb 2024 - Morialta
Thorn Buttress
24 No Mustard on Withdrawal - with Paul Kinnane Sport 21m Very Good
I jumped on it last week, felt completely bamboozled at the crux and then got shut down after taking several small but unpleasant falls. I came back for No Mustard today and got it on my first red point attempt. The low traverse is really cool and then you got to pull several hard moves before it gets easy.

Thu 18th Jan 2024 - Norton Summit
The Cave
24 ~25 Pussy Extension - with Paul Kinnane, Maya Kinnane Sport Very Good
Good power-endurance route. I guess it’s 25 (remember that a local crag bias should not influence grading).

Wed 10th Jan 2024 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Porters Pass La La Land Area
24 La La Land - with Paul Kinnane Sport 20m, 8 Classic
Really cool rout with some exciting moves over the draw. Had two burns yesterday evening but blew the crux on the red point attempt. We had to go back and I was left with no epidermis on my fingertips and the feeling of defeat. This morning i taped my digits and decided to go for it; I had to fight with accumulated fatigue (5th day on) and 80% humidity. It was worth it.

Tue 9th Jan 2024 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Porters Pass Dogs, Cats & Apples Wall
19 Powerbra Rangers - with Paul Kinnane Sport 23m, 8 Very Good
Quality climbing for the grade.

Sun 7th Jan 2024 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Logan Brae Main Cliff
23 The Never Believers - with Paul Kinnane Sport 15m, 8 Very Good
Onsight/flash didn’t go as I was slapping blindly in search of reasonable holds at the very bottom.I got it 2nd attempt (flash from the second draw up), having some good beta and a good rest in the break. The top section involved hard pulling and fight with the Pump and fear that I would drop it just before the chains. Really good moves on this one.

22 Room With a View - with Paul Kinnane Sport 15m Very Good
You got to trust the guide book when it says that routes at Logan are pumpy. I messed up my onsight at the last draw when the relaxing climbing suddenly turned into desperate search for holds. Went 2nd go.

Sat 6th Jan 2024 - Blue Mountains
Bells Line of Road & Chifley Rd Bell Supercrag Arrivals (Lower)
25 Paint God - with Paul Kinnane, Bill Mansfield, Josh Sport 20m Classic
The first go I looked like you put a figure skater on the rock; I just could not get through the roof and was nowhere close to getting it (roofs are not my favourite you see). Then, I ran through the moves in my head several times, saw my friends ticking it and magically got it second go. Amazing climbing plus some mental game involved. Pleasure to get to the top.

24 Snappy Dresser - with Paul Kinnane, Bill Mansfield, Josh Sport 15m Classic
I had a couple of uncertain moments on it but with some beta spraying, unexpectedly, it went the first go. Really good climbing.

21 Jingle Bells - with Paul Kinnane, Bill Mansfield, Josh Sport 15m Very Good
Easy climbing to a bit tricky undercling in the cavity. Very nice.

Sun 19th Nov 2023 - Onkaparinga
Red Cliff Main Wall - Lust sector
19 Permanently Moist Thing (PMT) - with Paul Kinnane Sport 15m Very Good
Very wet and muddy at the bottom. Will be nice when/if it gets dry.

Sat 11th Nov 2023 - Onkaparinga
Red Cliff Main Wall - Lust sector
29 Rainbow Serpent - with Paul Kinnane Sport 30m, 14 Classic
O yeah! I’ve just crossed the magic threshold from 7c+ to 8a. The beauty of Top Shelf Material married with an unforgiving finish of Emphysema - stellar! After some regress recently, I finally got it today pretty smoothly 😁.

Sat 28th Oct 2023 - Mt Stapylton Campground
The Guardhouse
16 Shoot Onsight - with Paul Kinnane Sport 15m, 5 Good
Easy climbing after a complete muscle destruction yesterday. Not much chalk there yet so looking for holds is part of the fun.

23 Line Of Sight - with Paul Kinnane Sport 15m, 5
2nd go. There was no chalk above the lip and being utterly destroyed from climbing at Van Demiens’s Land the previous day, I blew my onsight attempt. The move to the second draw was freaking reachy (I’m 175cm tall) and it cost me a lot of energy as well. Beside that I really liked the moves.

21 Affluenza - with Paul Kinnane Sport 14m, 5 Good
I actually enjoyed it. Well, yes, the mantle was not pretty but I guess my beta was not optimal either. The Guardhouse is a very nice little spot. Will be back for the other routes.

Sat 28th Oct 2023 - Hollow Mountain (N & NE side of Mt. Stapylton)
Van Diemen's Land
27 Velvet Goldmine - with Paul Kinnane Sport 25m, 9 Very Good
Very bad performance, unfortunately Could not pull through the crux at all.

Sat 28th Oct 2023 - Hollow Mountain (N & NE side of Mt. Stapylton)
Bad Moon Rising Wall
20 Run Rabbit Run - with Paul Kinnane Sport 25m Good
It was actually nice after I figured out where to go. It took me a while to decide how to do the crux, which turned out to be pretty easy.

Sun 1st Oct 2023 - Hollow Mountain (N & NE side of Mt. Stapylton)
Van Diemen's Land
24 Blond Ambition - with Paul Kinnane Sport 25m, 7 Very Good
Fantastic climbing, very sustained. I managed to put 4 or 5 draws in before I got insanely pumped and was not able to hang on.

25 Warped Spasm - with Paul Kinnane Sport 30m, 5 Very Good
Got it second go. Pretty cool moves!

18 The Dope Man - with Paul Kinnane Sport 5m, 2 Average
For 18 - stupid.

Sat 30th Sep 2023 - Hollow Mountain (N & NE side of Mt. Stapylton)
Van Diemen's Land
22 Terminal Insomnia - with Paul Kinnane Sport 30m, 7 Very Good
There were still several wet holds on it and no chalk whatsoever after winter rains. But this are all excuses - I’m just a non-onsighter and this is what I am, don’t judge me. Got it 2nd go. Pretty good moves with long run out at the end (easy though).

Sun 6th Aug 2023 - Onkaparinga
Red Cliff Main Wall - Trade sector
28 Baccarat King - with Paul Kinnane Sport Classic
Completely unexpected tick on my third go of the day. I slightly changed a sequence through the crux, which was a game changer. Then, before I realised what happened, I was clipping the chains Such a cool and demanding route!

Sun 11th Jun 2023 - Hollow Mountain (N & NE side of Mt. Stapylton)
Van Diemen's Land
25 Suicidal Tendencies (Pitch 1) - with Paul Kinnane Sport 18m Very Good
Cool but sharp (tape your fingers if you don’t want to bleed). Can be done in several different ways and it took me two or three runs to realise that the one I was trying was not for me. Pretty short hard section after the 21 fun start leads to a nice finish sequence.

21 Crime Wave - with Paul Kinnane Sport 30m, 6 Very Good
I really enjoyed it! The start warms your whole body up.

Sat 10th Jun 2023 - Hollow Mountain (N & NE side of Mt. Stapylton)
Van Diemen's Land
24 Body Count - with Paul Kinnane Sport 25m, 7 Classic
Nice movement up pockets, lay backs and some jugs. A good kneebar before the crux let me restore my strengths and pull the hard moves. Still, I was so pumped, I had troubles going through the easy top section. Really good climbing!

Sat 29th Apr 2023 - Onkaparinga
Red Cliff Main Wall - Trade sector
26 Winfield Red - with Paul Kinnane Sport 8 Very Good
Really nice link-up between Winfield Blue and Marlboro Red. Painful knee bar at WB gives your arms a nice rest before powering up into Marlboro. There are some more knee bars, try to find them 😜

Mon 3rd Apr 2023 - Hollow Mountain (N & NE side of Mt. Stapylton)
Bad Moon Rising Wall
22 ~23 Raunchy Rooster - with Paul Kinnane Sport 18m, 5 Average
With this start and this finish it is not 22 (maybe it was years ago, when it had more side crimps). Putting a draw on the third bolt involved some commitment and this was after loosing skin trying to figure out the start sequence. All this shambles lead to a finish, which you may consider cool, if the route has a proper grade.

Sun 2nd Apr 2023 - Hollow Mountain (N & NE side of Mt. Stapylton)
Bad Moon Rising Wall
22 All The Way To Eleven - with Paul Kinnane Sport 18m, 6 Very Good
Really nice climbing once you figure out how to go through the start to the 3rd bolt. A description saying that you need to step down is a bit misleading, I think.

20 Sleep Forever - with Paul Kinnane Sport 20m, 7 Good
Not particularly obvious between 2nd and 3rd bolt. Then I messed up the traverse (I think, do you stay low or do you stay high and just walk across?) so I was struggling.

Sat 1st Apr 2023 - Mt Stapylton Campground
Sentinel Cave
22 Screaming Barfies - with Paul Kinnane Sport 10m, 4 Good
I didn’t believe I could get the dyno finish but it wasn’t that bad after all.

20 Dwarf Pumper - with Paul Kinnane Sport 8m, 3 Very Good
Very short but enjoyable.

23 Media Puzzle - with Paul Kinnane Sport 16m, 6 Very Good
Pretty hard start and easy finish. I blew my first attempt after clipping the second draw as I missed a footer.

Fri 31st Mar 2023 - Onkaparinga
Red Cliff Main Wall - Trade sector
27/28 Baccarat King LHV - with Paul Kinnane Sport 25m, 10 Classic
I came off Marlboro Red knee bar two days ago and just had to come back today (sweet leave). Really cool route with some knee bars to milk and hard pulling in between. My first second ascend

Mon 13th Mar 2023 - Onkaparinga
Red Cliff Main Wall - Trade sector
24 Insider Trading - with Paul Kinnane, the Ticking Crew Sport 12m, 5 Very Good
A harder start to Trade Route. It was not my most graceful tick but sometimes you got to leave grace behind.

Wed 22nd Feb 2023 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Boronia Point Main Wall (Ferris Cave)
23 Lyptus - with Paul Kinnane, Bill Mansfield Sport 23m, 8 Classic
Fantastic route! Very grim conditions for Joanna though - 13 deg, rain, frozen, stiff fingers, not enjoyable. I got it second go, after I managed to warm up a bit.

Tue 21st Feb 2023 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Centennial Glen Junket Pumper Area
24 Junket Pumper - with Paul Kinnane Sport 15m Very Good
I came back for it today and got it first go Thanks Paul for being a draw and a hold brushing monkey

Tue 21st Feb 2023 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Centennial Glen Main Wall
22 Ruddy Norry - with Paul Kinnane Sport 14m, 4 Very Good
Easy and nice climbing to a cruxy bit, which we misread I guess (didn't use the undercling that other people talk about), then easy again.

Mon 20th Feb 2023 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Centennial Glen Main Wall
25 Padington - with Paul Kinnane Sport 12m Very Good
Had one go at it; I didn't stick the move between 1st and 2nd bolt (still not sure how to do it). Dogged the rest of it without much trouble... I think, it could go... next trip.

23 Acceptably Cosmic - with Paul Kinnane Sport 10m Good
Several nice moves, with kind of a big throw before the second bolt. The very top was a bit wet (2nd day of rain).

Mon 20th Feb 2023 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Centennial Glen Wave Wall
25 Rubber Lover Sport 20m, 5 Very Good
Great sequence up to a hard finish. It took some skin off. I just had one go at it; would be great to come back on it next trip.

23 Split Wave Sport 20m Classic
It was really steamy and slippery today. Anyway, the moves on this route are great. The fact that I blew it my first go made me find a great beta for a move that I thought was horrible and desperate.

21 Jaws Sport 15m, 4 Good
Pretty good.

Sun 19th Feb 2023 - Blue Mountains
Leura Sublime Point West Face (Main Area) Middle Cliffs Ben Trovato Wall

Sat 18th Feb 2023 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Logan Brae Main Cliff
23 Elastic Analysis — 2 attempts - with Paul Kinnane Sport 12m, 5 Very Good
I blew my onsight, damn. Got it second go, still struggling a bit. It’s fun climbing on on big holds, (beside the finish).

22 Dead Man Walking - with Paul Kinnane Sport 18m, 7 Good
There are some nice moves on this route for sure but yeah it’s not particularly grippy. Good if you want to save skin though 🙂

Sat 11th Feb 2023 - Onkaparinga
Red Cliff Main Wall - Trade sector
21 Trade Embargo - with Paul Kinnane Sport 4 Good
Nice addition to Red Cliff’s low 20s. There are some interesting moves, although it may be a bit reachy for shorter people.

Sun 5th Feb 2023 - Onkaparinga
Red Cliff Main Wall - Lust sector
27 Top Shelf Material - with Paul Kinnane, and the Great Crew Sport 30m, 12 Mega Classic
I thought it would take me longer to build endurance to tick this route but I got it pretty quickly after ticking the Art (the top section was fresh in my mind and body). Thanks everyone for the fantastic atmosphere and support! Great line with a wide variety of moves!

Sun 29th Jan 2023 - Mitcham Quarries
Car Crash Quarry Sector 2 - Central
21 Edge of Darkness - with Paul Kinnane Sport 12m, 3 Good

A bit awkward.

Sat 21st Jan 2023 - Onkaparinga
Red Cliff Main Wall - Trade sector
27 The Art of Seeing - with Paul Kinnane Sport 25m, 10 Classic
Challenging tick for me taking into account how much my sagging ass doesn’t like roofs. Got it on my second attempt today; on my first I fell after going through the roof and almost cried. It’s an amazing route!

Sun 27th Nov 2022 - Onkaparinga
Red Cliff Main Wall - Trade sector
28 Emphysema - with Paul Kinnane, Lee Stiles Sport 25m, 9 Very Good
My most incredible ascent! It took several months to figure out the crux through the final roof. Today it was my first go and glory one It must have stirred up Paul as he sent it just after me There's nothing better than a double tick!

Sat 10th Sep 2022 - Finale Ampola
Sector Principale
6c Sesso orale Sport 15m Very Good
Got it second go. Nice moves, easy finish, plenty of bolts.

6a Yellowstone Sport 24m Good
Nice route.

Fri 9th Sep 2022 - Valle del Sarca
Massone Settore E
6c Utopia Sport 25m Very Good
Finally a good route during this trip. Still didn’t manage to get it; I fell at the crux 2 bolts from the top. The grading here is somewhat hard

Wed 7th Sep 2022 - Valle del Sarca
Massone Settore B
6b Fra Fra Sport 20m
I’m definitely having my ass kicked this trip. I came of the final moves on the slab with no holds (no adjustments were possible once you got it wrong).

Wed 7th Sep 2022 - Nago
Belvedere Sector B
6b+ Renato Butta La Pasta Sport 24m Very Good
Cruxy move over the rooflet, then nice and flowy. A view from the top is stunning.

Tue 6th Sep 2022 - Valle del Sarca

Hard moves strait of the ground with several cruxy sections. Don’t expect a glory jug as the last clipping hold.

7a Due a Coppe Sport 25m Classic
Hard start, then nice climbing a up to the brutal crux at the top. It got me.

NIce moves, a bit committing at the crux, if you don't know the moves. Felt more like 22/23.

Red Cliff Main Wall - Trade sector
27 Marlboro Red - with Paul Kinnane Sport 25m, 9 Very Good
My second hardest climb ever. It came out of nowhere, the first go of the day. I was definitely shaky below the last draw but saved it and then it went smoothly. Super happy!

27 Camel Filter - with Paul Kinnane Sport 22m, 8 Classic
I fell off the last hard section twice today before finally getting it on the third go. Very cruxy route; it took me quite a while to find the best way for me through all 3 cruxes. One of my hardest route. Champagne will flow tonight 😁

Mon 13th Jun 2022 - Flat Rock

25 L'Essence - with Paul Kinnane Sport 30m, 7 Very Good
A beautiful line, a great face climbing; exactly what I like! I change my beta for the crux on my last attempt of this trip and it worked so well. The top run-out was the biggest I’ve ever done. Cool experience and a happy drive home 😀

My most desperate and the ugliest tick ever. Got on the rock just after is was pissing down with rain for 20 min. I got through the crux and then tried to do next move around 5 times almost coming off - the holds were damp and there was no friction at all. Gosh, I'm glad it's done

It was the easiest available route, so I did it as a warm up. Not the best idea, as it has a hard section high up. I had to go up there 3 times as I messed up the beta the second time.
