Ascents by Vanessa Wills having Distinct route

Found getting out of the little alcove very tricky.

Great first half and even the offwidth section was good as you don't have to thrutch too much. Trailed a rope to haul our # 4s and 5s once I was on the half way ledge

Heberdens nodules are making these thin cracks awkward despite small hands

Starts a little scary when you have to commit to falling onto the jug. Nice airy route.

Another #4 would have been handy

Hard start. I thought it was harder than 18

Led as one long rope stretching pitch. Ignore the jambs- unnecessary

Despite extending everything rope drag was a real drag.Maybe 2 ropes?

Quite enjoyable and reasonable pro, guide says 19 which is about right

Add a coupla grades

Led P1,2, a bit hard to get onto, a bit slippery to start

Another near perfect arete. Did the long version.

I started a little to the left for the first few metres.

Felt easier than the 17

A little Ledgy, but nice

Not long ( after the chain ascent) but a bit burly

Average at Araps is still worth it

Would have been 3 stars if it ended after joining Electra, but the top traversing bit is on dubious rock. Two ropes pretty useful.

Felt 19 to me, a bit daunting as couldn't reach above into crack to place gear to ease the crux nerves.

Kept waiting to get pumped and use big cams but neither happened

Its not that hard.

Actually straightened these 2 routes out. This R hand one is heaps better and harder.

Led P1 and 3. Pitch 3 was mentally harder

Very nice trad climbing. Shame to have it half bolted now, but then I guess I wouldn't have been on it today

Some nice moves in the middle. Unfortunately dropped a sling. It hit the water below.

Engaging in an old fashioned way weaving back and forth on a sandy wall. Double ropes would have been good.

Left the anchor, hoping someone is coming back with some anchor bolts now that all the belay trees are dead.

A bit vegetated, but Fun moves, really good climb

Led P2 with MB. He unfortunately belayed on bolts on iconoclast so I had a nice 6m unprotectable slab to begin

Sun went down at mid belay. Scared, scarred, loose blocks, vegetation and moss. It had it all.

Led P1 and 2. Found the grade 16 start the hardest. Did the crack direct.

Led P2, great route to finish the Moonarie trip on.

One long pitch. Totally absorbing.
