broke a few holds, seems closer to a highball the way it's currently bolted - nearly a death sentence lead if you mess up, a pity bc it's excellent climbing

Profound crux was bushbashing to the start of the route. Kinda amazingly bad climb to walk ratio given this is probably the longest route in australia. Route finding is easy, just follow the red line. Didnt place any nuts but placed purple totem pretty regualrly you could almost take triples if you want to protect the route. Simuled everything except the 16 and 15 pitch which isaac had an epic on . 7 hours. With a few more bolts this could actually be a fun route.

absolutely mega, slipped on the 4th pitch during the crux and literally shat myself, a sloppy and dark scramble to the top made me question my life choices

16? seriously? get over yourself - thin moves and poorly protected, couldn't bring myself to try lead this thinking it was a 16 ... a smart call

one bad hand jam, otherwise grade 11 thrashing

absolutely abusive

isaac and i went piece for piece, eventually isaac found his way to the lip and instead of pulling himself up, fell off and broke my red cam and nearly his ankles, excellent efforts and instead we finished up to the right which must have been climbed before but is unlisted and went at about grade 9/10

great climb!maybe better than hot flap and definitely less runout

possibly the best multi-itch I have ever done, and my first proper climb in the grampians legendary mega stuff

good hand / fist jams for me, ruthless offwidth at the top - wathced my friends then try layback, bridge and dyno instead of getting their hands dirty - even more enjoyable than the climb itself

fell off finger section, had to layback yuck

one good pitch, one bad pitch, Matt C managed to cut loose on moves I did without my hands which says a lot ...

even with a #5 its still pretty scary for a grade 14 climber, alex's first cclimb at araps

cleaning isaacs awful gear, start was awkward, yelled take but didnt fall

impressive lead from alex given half his gear fell out ...

got scared leading the second pitch and gave the ropes to alex for his 4th day of trad climbing

perfect moves, will be back to lead asap. Start would be a bit spooky

didn't have to dog up the wide crack this time using the flake start / wide crack hybrid approach

didnt go the right way on the second pitch and had a very runout and hard start 5m to the left of the bolt, still great tho

a grade easier than hot flap would be three stars at any other crag in the world
