Routes as sport in Bregaglia

Il Mosaico ist eine schöne Kombination der Vial Felici mit dem NE-Grat und der Dente und Fiamma.

Gebohrt jedoch teils sehr weite Hakenabstände. Friends 0.5-3 und Keile nützlich.

Pitch 3 takes the face just left of the largest left facing dihedral to a semi hanging belay. Pitch 4 continues up the line via a small roof immediately above the belay then face, crack and arete climbing for 50m. Pitch 5 follows cracks and slabs to the walk off ledge. Walk off left. 30 m abseil into a chasm, bolts on the left as you walk to chasm. Walk down 20 m then abseil 10m, bolts on right side of descent looking down. Then easy down climb and head back to road.

10 well-equipped pitches, 5 pitches a bit further spaced. Camalots 0.5 - 2 useful.

Abseiling required between pitch 10 and 11. Retreat gets a bit difficult afterwards.

Descent via main summit.

Keile und Friends nötig

Nach dem Ausstieg durch das Couloir kann abgestiegen- oder nach einer leichten Traverse die letzten Seillängen von Steiger auf die Punta d'Albigna (4c meist 3b) begangen werden.

Stände gebohrt, teilweise auch Haken gebohrt. Keile und Friends nötig.

The route is bolted. Anchors are bolted. Some pitches are not bolted or have 2 bolts on them.

All in all very reasonably bolted especially in the critical pitches.

Important to note that the last 4B pitch is on a razor thin ridge for 100M. A belay must be setup on a horn in the middle of the ridge. After the ridge there is an option to walk off or continue 6 pitches to the summit (which then makes the route 22 pitches)
