Ascensioni in West Face (Main Area) come Pink point

Fun climbing even with all the rave.

Doesn't feel right using pre-placed gear, will have to come back with my own.

3rd shot. Onsight ended at the dyno (took me a bit to figure it out: stop trying to be tricky, and just face-on LAUNCH) then clean to the top. 2nd shot I muffed the dyno by completely missing it for no reason. 3rd shot it was all on to the top. Mostly a hardish 22 but for the pretty full-on dyno move. Consistently awesome climbing with interesting moves all the way to the top, 30m up. Probably deserves another star, neilio.

I really liked this one! Seriously cool dynamic throw, a hard facey bit, a bit of corner thrown in.

Second shot, the first lap up was terrible after taking 2m off the ground and losing the onsight.

Dyno is a deadpoint and I throughly enjoyed this climb

2nd shot. Onsight ended on the final move to the anchors. Given how crap the 29 this finishes up is, this probably isn't too hideous a way to experience the rad ending, but damn its hard! Even 2nd shot I just barely stuck it.

Pretty good, though some dubious rock (near the start, mostly) spoils it a bit. Should have been an onsight, but I didn't realise you're supposed to use the arete between the last two bolts, and I tried to go straight up the face... Bloody hard for a 22! Gave it another lap for the tick. Sustained, though not too cruxy.

2nd shot today, 3rd total. Sustained face climbing on a route that doesn't see much traffic. Will probably clean up nicely over time.

Actually finished slightly more right on exile , I think the only glued hold at the end that you could use come out, there is a sign of the glue on nothing. Anyway awesome route, maybe I bit soft for 26 with the other exit

3rd shot. Probably 23 but for a brief (but extremely bouldery) crux. The moves are surprisingly good despite how strange the line looks, but the rock is generally pretty crap for this part of the world. Might be 25?

Great climb. Took a long rest before the crux, slipped before the next clip but made it to the top of the first pitch.

Punted off the last move on the warm up when I forgot where to put my foot (possibly because of last night’s wine) which was annoying, but then the hungover Ben Trovato sending blessing came through and I smashed it out no dramas next go. Such a great route!! (x2)

2nd redpoint shot today, 7th shot in total (and a few equipping laps). No particularly hard moves, but unrelenting from where it splits from Reigning Steel until you clip the anchors.

Amazing how sustained this is once you leave reigning. Had a hard time recovering at the rest, cold forearms! Classic mtns crimpers

3rd shot, and I had to work for it! Hmmm, hard to grade... Very hard 25, softish 26? Neil is right with "harder than Kizashi but easier than Sadomastication". Probably more sustained and strenuous than Sado, but -despite having 2 HARD moves- without Sado's particularly hard crux. Totally worthwhile and demanding thinness, with lots of funky sidepulls and very high feet.

A few minor little breakages en-route kept me off my toes, and almost off the wall. [2]

2nd shot today. 3rd total. Awesome face climbing. Skipped the crux bolt which is the trick.

Second go but i’ve done the 23 a bunch of times. Definitely only 25, to say it’s 26 next to Sado is very amusing.

3rd shot. Wow, embarrassing! I sandbagged myself with some stupid beta making the crux about 2 grades harder, until Neil showed up, slapped me into shape (with the RIGHT beta), and I cruised it on the 3rd shot. Not a bad climb at all, but far from the best to be found on this wall. I definately enjoyed it more once the crux was at a more feasible grade. Made a good warm-up.

Second warm up, fluffed the sequence at the crux so i did a second lap up it.

Stiff warm up, but a very fun climb!

Went ok second shot. Sidepulls below the last bolt are a trap. Just crimp on through.

1 lap where i stalled out at the crux. lap 2 send so good to see the progress from 2 years ago, where I couldn't even concieve pulling the crux moves.
