Blocco difficile

On 27Crags this is described as an eliminate of Ragno going left to the chains of Thorn and skipping the roof pull. This route is also heavily sandbagged, and without the roof it’s still SOLID 5.12b. The crux is very hard, and the whole route is pumpy. Get on it, but leave your ego on the ground. You might need to yell. Brushing the slopers before a redpoint attempt would be prudent.

Aptly described, this route was a thorn in my side. Idk why it’s rated so highly, the start is garbage and the crux is this awkward thin traverse on nothing holds. The final moves are well-protected but super heady and insecure-feeling on an exposed flake with smearing feet. Sent on TR after initial hangdog putting up draws. If you can’t tell I obviously do not enjoy this style of climbing. Also, sandbagged as hell….solid 5.11b.

6c as written on the wall. 7a as the topo suggests makes no sense.
