A really good route, though the rock quality doesn't live up to the aesthetic value of the line itself. The existing aid move is totally non-consequential (its so trivially small), and the climbing is quite sustained throughout. I had an onsight effort I was proud of, BUT the main crux -high on the route- is quite tough, and I wonder if some crimps may have broken off? (there' lots of worn/fractured rock up there). I managed the sequence a few times, though it was my absolute limit, and hideously unpleasant. Had to strip the gear before going for a red point as the threat of epic storms closed in.

I brought: 1 x 0.4, 1 x 0.5, 2 x 0.75 and 1 x #1.

Though getting on this in 38 degree heat was less-than-ideal, it did remind me why I wasn't in a hurry to get back on this after the last session. Mostly mega arete climbing up a proud line, but the crux is proper hideous.

Top Rope Solo before bolting this. Utterly brilliant climbing. I'm super-psyched to have two companion Projects at this crag to work on. 3 distinct cruxes, with some sustained micro-crimping sequences (on non-friable edges) but the ludicrous top section through the steepest parts of this wall features outrageous climbing up a vibrant black and orange streak with memorable moves. Some average rock, but mostly this is classic. I can't wait to get back to it. 25?

4 laps (and 2 extra laps on just the top 1/3rd trying to get the final showstopper bulge dialled) none of them clean. 2nd, 3rd and 4th lap were all done with 1 totally pumped-out, utterly destroyed fall a metre or so from the top. Great climbing with so many damned square-edge micro-crimps. My crimp muscles are torched. It's strange that even with 3 balancy no-hands rests, the amount of time it takes to recover enough to crush the top crux is almost insurmountable on link. Definitely HARD 25.

1st shot today. Probably NOT hard at the grade, which is not surprising considering that there are balancy no hands rests before each crux. The upper bulge is mega in its own right, and a real heartbreaker. Easily the 2nd best line at The Sporting Complex (after Life of Riley - and harder than it). A true, aesthetically pleasing classic.

The route you should do if you like to crimp.. Cosmic crux down low followed by dirty but engaging moves up to a good rest before the finally punchy boulder through the top head wall.. Not as sustained as Life but harder for sure.. Second shot after a good scrub and chalk.

I am ticking them off Paul, better bolt some more..

FFA. Hidden gem. This possibly may have been climbed before me, but unlikely as it needed a bit of cleaning. Super cool steep gymnastic climbing. Broke a hold off on the 2nd last attempt which made it a bit harder. Possibly 27 as it took me 3 days but it does seep. The 3rd bolt is a bit dangerous to clip, I climbed it preclipped after nearly giving Heath Black a heart attack. Thanks chris coghill for the bolts. Respect this place as it is private property.

3 shots. The last EOD effort ended at the final bolt. This thing is all class. Sure, it's a bit sharp, but the line and the moves more than make up for it. The opening boulder is tough but funky, and the runout headwall finale is an appropriate bookend. I'll definitely be back.

3 shots. Came here today fairly optimistic of a send (or at least a good showing) only to struggle quite a bit with the final headwall. The start was definitely a bit damp, but the rest was fine despite the weather. Left my draws on it, though, as it's so radical it deserves some more efforts.

Still, even if I'm struggling with a high-gravity day, was radical to hold the ropes (and scream and shout) as Luke crushed the route on a super-unlikely 3rd lap of the day.
