Mistakes were made! Gripped by sheer terror, I inch my way through the traverse - each move painfully delicate. Getting to the slight off-width, I don't have the reach to place a cam so go with a nut and keep creeping onwards. A couple moves and then pop! I look back to see the nut dangling on more than a few metres of traverse... I'm overcome with dread, and decide to keep pressing on - COMPLETELY - missing the belay station. Riley checks in on me a while later - I'm still in full tunnel vision mode. Rope drag is horrendous, and I'm down to my last bits of gear using a sling from my PAS and biner from the chalk bag. Grovel my way through the awkward chimney, and there at last are the bolts. I sit at the bolts mentally drained, and it only dawns on me as Riley gets to the runout traverse I've left him, that I've also accidentally led both pitches! :^/

Jason accidentally lead the entire two last pitches all the way to the bolts. What a FIEND. Holes in his shoes, no chalk, insane rope drag, pulling off the hardest traverse I've ever done, hats off to him. He ended up using his PAS and the biners from his chalk bag to clip his last few pieces as he has literally nothing left. Midway through my second one of his nuts fell out, leaving me with a 10 meter horizontal run out through the crux of the 18, which got the heart running. Good fun!

Huge got lent a headtorch coz i forgot mine with the helmet back at camp haha. Good to send with Gabe, the roof crack was wild!! couldnt believe it

This is quite fun! It was never going to be a flash for me though. I won't weigh in on the grade (in the "difficulty feedback"), other than saying that I don't think it's soft enough to be downgraded to 22. Probably feels easier for a boulderer, but for me would be a solid 23 at least! Dropped at the weird top in my second go, so needed a third!

This is the money pitch. 3 19 15 Trad lead by John Pitcairn Flubbed it. Tendonitis wrist lock up ow, then misread the crux sequence and didn't have the wrist strength/flexibility left to get out of trouble, pitched off on a good swinging fall into nothing. Should have got on this sooner. I got Alex to lead the second pitch so I can't really say, but I didn't think the second pitch was as intimidating as I had heard. Pretty soft for 18 as well. Just about pumped out on the last pitch so reckon that's pretty accurate 19.

Nice. Went pretty easily after rehearsing the moves yesterday. I can see how you’d think it’s a 24 if you’re an endurance focussed trad dad, but for gumbies raised in bouldering gyms like me this absolutely doesn’t feel like a 24 - I haven’t even got a 23 yet and have only done one soft 22 yet somehow I can do a 24 relatively easily. Doesn’t add up.

Punted off the first hand crack unexpectedly... glad we stick cliped the nut. I Hang dogged the first time, then Erika had a top rope then a red point burn. She lowered just on the crux so i top roped to there and continued on leading to the top. Classic old thrutch fest that's easier once you've peaced it together.

Felt a little dicey at the third as I didn’t latch a hold all to well however it was pretty decent in the end. I heard this was very, very soft but I’m not so sure I’d straight up agree. Probably on the lower end of 24, maybe 23. Regardless I had a fun time on it! Did a cool Gaston with mini finger lock at the top. Rad!

Gave this a red hot burn however the style change after the third bolt felt awkward and had me pumped. Reset myself after a hang and finished the last few moves. Hidden LH slot helped a lot.

My first real traverse in a climb. I forgot my chalk back and got scared shitless during the traverse on the second pitch as I could feel my fingers slipping on the holds. John Capretta came to the rescue by throwing me his chalk bag from the belay station. He attached it with a nut for added weight and landed the throw flawlessly. Just another multipitch shenanigan at Araps.

I came off because I was trying to do 3 things; back on wall, feet smearing across, and then tried to grab the top of those blocks- big mistake, of course my back came off the wall and I fell! I’ll try it next time with just back on wall and feet smearing. I guess it’s a 15 for me now, but once I do it successfully I’ll probably think it’s easy. BTW you're rewarded with a top abseil at the end as long as you have 50m twin ropes (otherwise you can do it on shorter rope but in pitches)....	Trad 78m		Robert Lord

	14 Hard	★★★ Lamplighter - with Robert Lord 1 10 30 Second lead by Robert Lord Rope drag can be lessened by having the second unclip the first runner after the leader is on a bit. 2 14 30 Trad lead by ThorAss I did the LH variant mostly because it seemed to have the most chalk on it. Was pretty stiff for 14. 3 13 18 Trad lead by ThorAss It's ironic that we were going to do the Lady Dihedral finish but Rob preferred the 13 to the 15. This was a rueful decision. When I got to the dreaded chimney traverse, I was only able to get a good runner in at the start; didn't have the right size to protect any further along. As I was looking at a big swing smashing into the corner, I climbed very carefully finally pulling up at the end rather relieved. Rob balked at this completely. I got him to take his pack off as we could get it on the abseil. However this didn't quite do it so I said put the runner back into the corner and clip one of the ropes. So now he was protected from both sides. He vows to go back and do it properly some day. On the abseil we collected everything and our day was done.	Trad 78m	★★★ Mega Classic	ThorAss
A great classic, something for everyone. First pitch is a glorified hike. Second, a wildly exposed crack and face climb for the agoraphobiacs, followed by the 3rd pitch which took me back to my caving days.

This climb was phenomenal. The wide crack on pitch 2 was more like slightly overhanging jugs, and the traversing chimney climb across the roof of the cave on pitch 3 was brilliant and incredibly unique. The only drawback of this climb is that insane switch back at the start which caused so much rope drag that I had to downclimb it to remove a cam and basically free soloed back up. I highly recommend not placing any pro directly under the switchback in the first place to avoid that situation. Either that or set up an extra belay before you go to the normal belay at the other end of the ledge. I don't think two ropes would help this situation either because I barely placed any pro under the switchback, only one cam below the bulge, and still had unclimbable rope drag.

Grovelly as shit. If you like juggy off-widths then the second pitch is for you. If you like getting hitting your head in an uncomfortable, flared, traversy chimney then you’re going to love pitch 3. Great climb to have that type 2 fun on, highly recommend

Awesome. Exposure is no where near as big as people say. Still a bit airy on the second pitch but not too bad. Third pitch was the money pitch for me. Absolutely loved the final chimney traverse! Jonah was not so enthusiastic about it

played around on the top easy section and the bottom part of Trojan since there was a toppy up. skipped the middle entirely. enjoyed to top crack, but was completely shut down by the 25 start. burly!

Stunning!! P2 traverse was awesome and technical and flowed beautifully! pretty unreal and wild line! P3 was amazing with some intimidating moves around the corner from the belay. moved through it in a blur, and it climbed brilliantly! the upper groove to the chains was handled with little grace. so stoked! first ever trad 19 onsight!
