Jo-Yama stands high above Izu City and offers single-pitch and multi-pitch sports climbing on excellent rock. Many routes face south and thus allow climbing in winter.

Description

Jo-Yama is a "rock-mountain" stands along Karino-river (狩野川) in Ohito city in Shizuoka (静岡). Climbing started in 1960 and by now you can choose from over 300 bolted sportsclimbing routes graded range of 5.7 to 5.14. Ref: "Japan 100 Climbing area" by KITAYAMA Makoto, Yama to Keikoku-sha publication
