Crux pitch has to be up there with the best. A proper trad outing.

Excellent route, better than 3 star in the book. The pitches seem to get better and better. It is an improbable line. The crux pitch gets one thinking. 2nd last pitch has to be one of the best for the grade anywhere. 50m of joy. Highly recommended

Follows a fantastic natural line on bomber rock. Mostly great gear except some delicate moves at the end of p2 with sparse pro. One of the best routes I have done.

20 No More Bells - with Fernand Sieber
1 15 45 Trad lead by Cormac Tooze

Lekker warmup.

2 19 45 Second lead by Fernand Sieber

Technical and bloody good. Just as good as I remember.

3 18 25 Trad lead by Cormac Tooze

Nice to lead this one this time, the last time I was glad to not lead it. But I've come some ways.

4 20 45 Second lead by Fernand Sieber

Still difficult and could easily be 20

5 19 45 Trad lead by Cormac Tooze

Lead this one this time. Has to be up there with the best pitches of climbing.

16-hour quest AKA your average Tuesday. I think we were a little delirious on the top of the mountain because at one point Coach just started soloing stuff.

Cool historic route. We took a fun alpine approach with a few short roped sections and a rap to get to the start of the climb. Wonder how low down the ridge you could start? Lost time finding Timerity rap. Know Yellowwood a bit better after this long day out on the hill.

A great route in an incredible setting. Finding the beginning of the route is tricky, ended up pitching some exposed scrambling and only started on the route proper at 11 despite leaving the cars much earlier.

Good intro to Yellowwood, felt like a very relaxing day. 1 hour 45 walk in, 5 hours 18 mins on route. Missed the 4.5 to 5 hours target time. Topped out at same time as Lise, Josh and Josh on Divine time and abseiled down together. Hot day, amazing place.

Take a double rack, I ran out of 17 extenders on one of the 3 x 45m pitches P1 is a warm-up; P2 is serious, ran it out at top, a fall would have been dire, small holds, no time for gear, but slabby. High end climbing some of the best ever. P3 gives you a taste of the proper crack climbing to come. P4 has a wild start, that gives you a mental warmup, further up when you get into the slot it tests your metal!; sandbag pitch, it felt harder than the grade-20 pitches's of 'Roulette'. Prob the best pitch of climbing I have ever climbed to date, very very wild. P5 is the best crack climbing I have ever experienced, long bomber hand jams. Top out in very high mountains, difficult to believe only 1 hr drive from Cape Town.
