Cédric Lachat was born in the French speaking part of Switzerland and started climbing at a very young age with his brother. At the age of 17, he won the Youth World Championship in Canteleu, France. Beside competition, he always had a big passion for all kind of rockclimbing, from sending hard sport climbs to freeing big walls or bolting new lines.
