Ascents climbed between 2019-00-00 and 2019-12-31 in Arapiles having Trad CPR

Strenuous, Technical, Hard. Redpoint on pre-placed gear

A climb built around two holds: one seen 'The Undercling' and one unseen 'The Sloper' (AKA The Spirulina). Wonderfully technical face climbing on perfect stone. Deserves more attention and a guernsey in the select guide.

Was shut down by this years ago. Approached with better crack climbing technique and it went very quickly!

Sweet! The route's over pretty quick, although the moves are sweet!

Very tricky and committing traverse crimping on slick pebbles.

I rapped in to inspect the semi-rotten carrot and found it 'just' ok. Is that a flash? Meh. Be careful.

Probably 24 R realistically.

Surprisingly good, quality movement. Shame it's so short, basically just a boulder problem. 3rd shot. First 28 in a day. Easy for the grade though.

Hard one to onsight, sequence is not obvious at first glance. 2nd shot.

Really nice climbing! Some rest ledges, but good crimping up the sustained middle. Great movements.

Mega! Felt impossible first go, but after figuring out the beta it suddenly seemed very doable. Pretty desperate mono crux to a good finger lock.

Pulled the gear, had a good rest in the sun, mentally rehearsed the moves and the placements, then went for the send! Pretty psyched! Classic climbing, a few tricky moves, and great gear that's fairly straightforward. Just did the first pitch unfortunately. The 3rd pitch looks rad.

Went back today with gear racked in order, after mentally rehearsing the route over night! Some sick moves, and a RH ringlock that felt soooooo sick to pull on! Gear was a bit trickier, and the route musn't get a lot of traffic as there was a bomber wire placement at the crux under cobwebs that I had to uncover. Bit of a few-move wonder, but the climbing's great the whole way, even if the rock isn't totally up to Araps standards.

Thought id need rps they would've been nice if i hadent forgotten them at camp. Bd #5 nut fits nice though to protect crux

My first hard route requiring trad gear. Excellent technical climbing and good gear. Not especially hard for 25

First shot today placing gear. A memorable send. My palm ripped open on the first move and my helmet fell off after the initial layback lol. Well professional.

Sorry for any blood trail.

Continued on to complete all further pitches clean. Split P2 into 2 and led the awkward approach crack to P3. P3 is nails 21 IMO...Felt more like 22.

Awesome climbing, first grade 23 Onsight on gear

Brilliant line, brilliant climbing, brilliant gear. Very much a type one fun experience questing up this face. Everything went nice and smoothly and I found myself at the top without too many dramas. Exceptional and not particularly hard for the grade, and definitely a route that should be on everyone's list!
