Summary

A popular climbing area with a wide range of grades. Climbing mostly on pebbles and holes.

Access issues inherited from France

Some privately owned climbing areas may have restricted access. Check with https://www.ffme.fr/

Approach

From the RN94, at the exit of Eygliers towards Embrun, turn left and go up les gorges du Guil on a small road between houses and farms. Park before the dirt road, there is a 10 minute walk to the 1st sector, Rez-de-chaussée, then another 10 minutes to reach the 2nd sector, Raph.

Where to stay

There are 2 camp sites (Camping Les Iscles à Eygliers and Camping de L’île à Saint-Crépin) and multiple hotel-restaurants that rent rooms in town.

Ethic inherited from France

Park where indicated, take care of the environment, buy the local guidebook when possible (this is one of the ways you can help local route setters), clean up your shoes before climbing, don't spray beta, be polite.
