Description

Large wall with 2 established routes and one open project.

Access issues inherited from Great Spitzkoppe

Access via the Spitzkoppe Community Campsite.

Approach

Drive out of the west gate and turn right along the 4x4 track to the base of the NW wall.

Descent notes

Descend via abseiling the route or the regular summit descent if descending from the summit of Spitzkoppe.

Ethic inherited from Great Spitzkoppe

Trad and bolted routes permitted. No bolts next to natural protection. Bolting permissions to be arranged via the Mountain Club of South Africa, Namibia Section. NO BOLTING WITHOUT PERMISSION.

Varied mixed trad and bolted route. Amazing climbing. Bolts placed to allow for aiding the cruxes. Take 16 quick-draws and a single rack of cams up to BD4 and wires plus lots of slings for threads.
