Fun (dassie) traverse (manage your nerves, exposure ! 😂). Suggestion : a lot of drag on second pitch and history of stucked rope -> split the pitch in 2, made the day ! + it gives you the chance to enjoy a belay stance with a view !!! (half-a-bum-cheek type of stance for climbing party of 3 😉)

Nice route, good rock overall some sections require attention. It also requires a little bit of route finding. The grading is property sand bagged!! We entered at the hand crack 5m left below the first recess (quite hard for 15 probably 18). Better start more on the left and traverse on the ledge. There's no chance the second pitch is a 13. It starts with a roof quite bouldery. Unless you build a kairn or you're very tall it will not feel like a 13. For the last pitch traverse 10 to 15m right to find the last recess. Bad rope drag, it may be a good idea to split this pitch in 2.

After numerous free attempts, aided on a small nut. 2 22 15 Trad lead by MarkSurfi Crux is higher up in a blank 70° open book, off width with no crack. After numerous attempts, aided on a cam. 3 24 30 Second lead by Josh Sowter A beautiful slightly slabbed, mostly blank face. Committing start above a ledge with big moves to tiny rails. Almost clean on second but my rubber had melted on the toe and could not stick the high feet. 4 20 10 Trad lead by MarkSurfi A good short pitch with a clean potential fall. Delicate holds, big moves to thin rails. A piton gives some confidence. 5 22 20 Second lead by Josh Sowter A good but committing crack with some spice at the end. 6 21 30 Trad lead by MarkSurfi Route finding is hard around the crux. With some beta the crux move is good.	Trad 140m		MarkSurfi
When comparing to other sections of Wolfberg and Cederberg, the assigned grade doesn't seem to fit. For example the 20 pitches are significantly harder than the Energy crisis 20 pitch - of which the crux lay back is fairly short and not technically difficult - and other 20s in the area. Crisis was set in the same year so it doesn't seem that time has softened the grading.

First time climbing with Ben and Deneal. Cool day out. We all aided the 25 pitch. I took a hang on the 19 lead, maybe it was a 20 but funky offwidth stuff. Was pleased to get up it. Then I OS the top 21 pitch on lead. My first 21 OS on trad But we think that pitch is soft, it's just quite run out. Very cool route, but I'd skip the 25 pitch next time and just loop round via Red Rooster.

I lead the first pitch which felt harder than anything on Icarus. Josh lead pitch 2 and 3. Pitch 2 didn't have great gear, roof was a very cool feature. Would like to climb the top two pitches next time. Felt wild up there with the wind. Ben, Huey and Kim were climbing on Celestial next to us, really want to get into the big boy routes next year.

I did the P1 17 and had a moment when I thought a block was going to fall on me! Simon lead the crux 19 which I think is an 18. I found it very chill untill you pull out of the roof and then it's interesting to find holds etc. Would like to lead this. Next pitch I wanted to combine to the top but could see my rope would just run a few metres short. I really enjoyed the run out through the chimney, maybe 15 metres or more. I oddly enjoy these easy terrain run outs.

Lead the 16 which seemed quite run out over the roof. Felt good. Pitched it into 2. Could have done traverse (15) but playing it safe on my first Wolfberg traverse. Found the 17 surprisingly hard, crack layback thing, need to get mileage for trad technique. Impressed with Simon's leading.
