Ascents of Metallica

First crux felt hard and big for me. Ended up being a big cut loose dyno. Second crux felt much easier. What a cool climb! Bouldery fun.

Finally did it on 9th attempt.

Big moves on pleasant holds. Unnecessarily wasted a couple attempts, but anyway...

Yay first go today, felt solid with the new beta. Such a great route! Has the most scenic rest after the last crux. Felt easier than monkey business

Had 8 goes. Got to the LH undercling on all but one. Found some new beta on my 7th go, use the RH gaston slot after the rest going into the undercling. Sooo much easier. On my final go with the new beta, I took my high point, but was just a bit too tired to stick the dynojug after so many goes. I'm going to have soooooo much power endurance by the time I finish this route.

Yess, the short person beta worked. Stoked to tick another one of the list. Stay Hungry for the sendsssss.

In the snow and cold! Almost died when my foot popped with a bunch of slack out to clip the 5th bolt. My legs remain unbroken thanks to Emma's quick reactions. Just trying to red point now, made it to the left hand undercling at the second crux each time (except for the foot pop). Just need a little bit more power. The jug between the cruxes was really cold which made it hard to keep the fingers warm whilst resting.

Injured my left hamstring using the dumb heel hook beta for the first crux back in December. Still can't heel hook 6 weeks later!

Found some awesome double kneebar beta for the first crux and made the second crux easy. Did two good links, from the start of the first crux to the top, and from the bottom to the start of the second crux. Phsyched!

Cool bouldery moves on ok holds, except the first crux which is pretty brutal for the shorties. Will have to come back for it.

Made a good link past the first crux. Got new beta for the second part. Feels like it'll go with a bit more effort! The top still feels pretty hard

Still need to do the move off the left side pull to the crack. Wicked climbing
