19 Hard Jub Jub the Iguana - with Caitlyn Sport 15m Good
Probably a bit hard at 19? Had an interesting/cool sequence in the middle.

17 Hypothermia - with Caitlyn Sport 25m Very Good
Super awesome feature and climbing; nice exposure near the top and a good length. Only let down is the rock quality.

Sun 19th May 2024 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Corroboree Walls Disneyland
18 Lady Tremaine - with Caitlyn, Jack Ferguson Sport 25m Good
Didn’t think it was all over after the second bolt? A few mantles and a reachy finish.

19 Lightning McQueen - with Caitlyn, Jack Ferguson Sport 15m Very Good
Kachow! Really pleasant and felt more straightforward than the 17 next to it.

15 Long John Silver - with Caitlyn, Jack Ferguson Sport 20m, 14 Good
Would be a good beginner lead with the plethora of bolts, maybe a touch awkward at the grade?

Sat 18th May 2024 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Mount York Mezzaluna Area
15 Shabby Doll - with Jack Ferguson, Caitlyn Sport 16m, 4 Good
Would require some really creative wire placements and it would be spooky as!

15 My Grandmother's Dinky - with Jack Ferguson, Caitlyn Sport 20m, 5 Good
Just one hard-ish section to start, then a cruise

It’s a route I haven’t done

Sun 28th Jan 2024 - Blue Mountains
Medlow Bath The Sunbath
21 Viper Sport 15m, 10 Very Good
Way too many bolts, could probably get rid of at least 3? Only 3 bolt plates required though, I took 11 😂

Quite a nice line and good climbing, didn’t enjoy the top mantle too much though!

Cleaning was annoying, down climbed to get the first 3 quickdraws off, then climbed back below the anchor to minimise the swing.

17 I Only Eat Plankton Sport 15m, 6 Good
Honestly not too bad, nice little warm up.

Sun 21st Jan 2024 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Celebrity Crags Jimmy Cliff
19 Jimmy Valmer Sport 20m, 7 Very Good
Wasn’t sure how to do the moves at the third bolt nicely, pretty much crimped some nothings?

The very chalked up crux was fine, overall, a nice addition to the wall!

Don’t uh, go too far right (and thinking you’re avoiding the 18) It gets a bit dirty and scary that way

Monday afternoon climbs!

Good climbing on Pitch 1, very cruisy and pleasant.

Pitch 2 was super cool! A bit spooky going from cruisy pleasant climbing to immediate 3D climbing, was feeling slow/tough until the 3rd bolt or so, then I started having a fantastic time!!

Crux wasn’t too difficult once read correctly, read it wrong and had to down climb back to the rest. 11 draws required, if you clip every bolt.

Pitch 3, is definitely more of a “vertical scramble to exit” and 12 is generous, but overall, I think this is on the softer side of 18 and 21. One bolt on the chossy ironstone then through trees, don’t climb up the next wall of rock but belay off a tree, tell your second not to fall.

Under 2 hours C2C, with a little getting lost at the end of P3 and Jack nursing his bleeding finger before the P2 crux. Apparently there’s blood all over the crack now, thanks jack!!

Sat 7th Oct 2023 - Berowra
Ladder of Gloom Area
22 Ladder of Death Sport 10m, 5 Classic
Classic for Sydney standards. If only the start wasn’t sandy!

Striking line that I’ve known about for years, was smaller than expected and very happy to onsight it!

Didn’t do Gloom today due to lack of time, but have my beta for the start thanks to Ben!

Sat 7th Oct 2023 - Berowra

Sun 1st May 2022 - Scarborough Cliffs
Whale of a Time Wall
16 Whale of a Time - with Chris Lam Sport 50m Classic
Lead all pitches, delightful easy climbing, great position and beautiful view. Caitlyn’s first outdoor climb in Aus!

Walk in after all this rain was EXTREMELY muddy. Caitlyn and Chris both had leeches on them! P1: Nothing extraordinary and probably hardest in the first few metres? P2: Delightful pitch, easy climbing and such a nice position. Use a couple of long draws. P3: I literally climbed a waterfall between the last bolt and the anchor.

19 Phoenix Sport 15m, 6 Very Good
Pretty good!

15 Stingray Sport 15m, 5 Average
I personally think it's hard for 15. If you've never been to this crag, the directions / access is terrible! Got lost and had to bush bash for 45 mins...

Wed 23rd May 2018 - Alfords Point
Alfords Point Main Area
17 Fabulous Muppet Show Sport 15m, 5 Good
Awesome looking line! But just average climbing.

21 Sister Moon Sport 15m, 6 Good
Expected better climbing since it was the crag classic...

20 Brother Sun Sport 15m, 6 Very Good
Didn't expect to handjam today... I think it's nicer than Sister Moon.

19 Brown Hornet Sport 15m, 6 Good
Easier than the one on the left, I think?

19 Suburbanitis Sport 15m, 6 Very Good
Top is really cool actually. Mixed up hands at the start and god that made it hard...

16 MacGyver Sport 8m, 3 Average
It's a cool flake I guess; but that starting traverse was one of the hardest sequences I did today; sandbag.

2 13 25m lead by Will Vidler
3 19 30m lead by Jason Nguyen
Sport 85m Very Good
P2 was the nicest easy pitch I've done in a while!

Had commitment issues trying to get the draw on before the roof on P3. The moves were good, and it was a stunning position!

Overall, better than Honey Ryder.

19 Honey Rider - with Will Vidler

2 12 15 Sport lead by Jason Nguyen
3 18 25 Sport lead by Will Vidler

First few moves of Pitch 1 can't POSSIBLY be 18. Hardest moves all day; with ground fall potential!

P2 and P3 are in great positions, but nothing too memorable.

Sat 10th Mar 2018 - Blue Mountains

Blackheath Area Shipley Upper War Babies Wall
22 Do Androids Like Duckos Sport 12m Very Good
Happy I read all the bottom moves correctly, I think the moves are actually really fun and gym-like! Just needs some chalk and love! (it had none)

Fri 2nd Jun 2017 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Shipley Upper Grey Slab
17 Stormy Monday Sport 18m Good
Had bolt plates today, so why not? Would be more popular if it had rings for sure.

Wed 13th Jan 2016 - Blue Mountains
Leura Sublime Point West Face (Main Area) Middle Cliffs Sweet Dreams Walls
19 Whymper Sport 150m Very Good
Awesome! A really good day out; all clean. Thanjon lead 1st, 3rd, 4th (we got confused with new anchors?) So I got the traverse pitch! Had a terrifying moment on P2; and I think Thanjon had the same moment on P3.

Fri 25th Dec 2015 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Pulpit Rock Bellbird Wall area
18 Bellbird Wall - with Thanjon M Sport 100m, 16 Classic
OS P1 and P3, second P2; pitch 1 is loooooong! Pitch 2 has the coolest traverse across those jugs!! Pitch 3, chimney was awesome. Exposure between your legs!

Fri 12th Sep 2014 - Blue Mountains
Leura Sublime Point West Face (Main Area) Middle Cliffs Binary Cave
20 Rock Snob Sport 12m, 4 Average
Maybe worth doing once? If the rock was better, it wouldn't be too bad! One hard move at the top which includes one really high footer.

Fri 18th Apr 2014 - Mount Alexandra
The First Cave
20 Galvanise Sport 10m, 5 Very Good
Still so sore!! Really interesting climbing in this cave; a good warm up for the other stuff here.

Thu 2nd Jan 2014 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Hartley Hartley Vale Road
21 Something with Spiders Sport 15m, 6 Very Good
The start was quite goey, then splendid climbing to the top! Little crux near the top as well. Didn't see any spiders, however Thanjon did!

17 Electrostatic Axila Sport 15m Good
Not too bad to warm up on, SURPRISE SLAB at the top! Dirty as anything up there as well...

Sun 29th Dec 2013 - Blue Mountains
Medlow Bath Reservoir Dogs
22 Wake Up and Apologise Sport 38m, 16 Very Good
I lead pitch 1, Thanjon pitch 2. Start of 1 was awkward, rest was fairly cruisy. Pitch 2 was fingery, but not too hard (with small fingers) Clean on second.

Wed 18th Dec 2013 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Megalong Valley Crags James Bond Main Wall
23 Oh James! - with Thanjon Sport 12m Very Good
Awesome dyno start, cannot believe I stuck it.

Two obvious crux sequences with a good jug in between them for rest!

Wed 18th Dec 2013 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Megalong Valley Crags James Bond The Slab
18 Lotus Esprit Sport 10m, 3 Good
Thought this was the 15. Was thinking how tough it was for a 15 the whole way!

18 sounds right, definitely need to have your slab technique right, though. Packs a lot of slab punch for 10 metres.

Sat 14th Dec 2013 - Blue Mountains
Medlow Bath The Sunbath
14 Mañana Sport 22m, 8 Classic
A classic at the grade, I'd say. Very pleasant and consistent. Crux is at the top?

Also, I wouldn't clip that fixed biner on the anchors. That sucker is getting worn through a lot.

Thu 5th Dec 2013 - Blue Mountains
Medlow Bath The Underworld
19 The Untouchables Sport 12m Good
Coldest summer's day at the crag, ever.

Very easy 19, hardest move is probably off the ground? Quite enjoyable though!

Sun 1st Dec 2013 - Blue Mountains
Leura Sublime Point West Face (Main Area) Middle Cliffs Binary Cave
22 La Niña Sport 25m, 10 Classic
Thanks for making me lead this Paul! Apart from the fear of not leading in a long time, I genuinely enjoyed this route! Consistently sustained the whole way, there's one obvious crux sequence but has a good rest following it. Spent at least 10 minutes at the no hander below the anchors.

Rope got stuck on a horn as I was rethreading and retying, Paul had to climb up the rope (via another rope with Dana belaying) in order to free it.

Thu 25th Apr 2013 - Blue Mountains
Medlow Bath The Sunbath
17 Mainly Fine Sport 16m Very Good
Surprisingly good, although it doesn't look it. Start is kind of ugly though. Definitely worth a lap if you're tired of repeating Old Salt. Two cool down laps.

14 15 Pitang Pitang Sport 12m, 6 Average
Kind of hard for a 14, slopey!

4 Kaboomba Brothers Sport 10m, 4 Average
I'd give it a 13?

Wed 17th Apr 2013 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Zap Crag Upper Zap
21 Hot Pump Action Baby - with lucky chance Sport 25m, 6 Good
Runout and scary. The climbing wasn't so bad though.

Fri 29th Mar 2013 - Beulah
Northern areas Donger Boulders Whale Rock
17 Whale Ale Sport 15m, 4 Very Good
Only hard at the start, and gets progressively easier. Didn't know a cam was needed, so I just ran it out to the anchor.

16 Tui Sport 15m, 5 Very Good
Very nice, easy introduction to the slabs here.

Sun 24th Mar 2013 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Bardens Lookout Little Triggers Wall
20 Go Lotto Sport 22m, 7 Very Good
Enjoyed this, figured out the crux pretty quickly, but it was a tough move. Another little awkward section about 3/4 up, the rest was straight forward, nice vertical climbing.

17 Monkey Girl Sport 23m Good
A nice addition to this end of the wall, longish draws for least rope drag.

Sat 16th Mar 2013 - Blue Mountains
Medlow Bath The Sporting Complex
21 Like a Cut Snake (Like a Cut Snake P1)
1

Linked the two together, got the first pitch alright!

Wed 30th Jan 2013 - Blue Mountains
Leura Sublime Point West Face (Main Area) Middle Cliffs Binary Cave
19 Birthday Bolts Sport 20m, 9 Very Good
Warmup, some interesting moves on this, enjoyed it as much as someone can enjoy a slab, haha. Crux was a little confusing, good overall climbing. Used the corner to start.

Sat 5th Jan 2013 - Blue Mountains
Bells Line of Road & Chifley Rd Pierces Pass Bunny Bucket Buttress and Hotel California Area
18 Bunny Bucket Buttress Sport 270m Classic
Lead and onsight pitches 1/3/5/6/7. Pitch 7/8 is no longer able to be split into two, and has to be done as one 40m pitch. Pitch 2/4/8 lead by Sid. Seconded them clean. Loved the head wall on 6 and 7, absolutely amazing, despite the Sun...

Thu 3rd Jan 2013 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Mount York Mezzaluna Area
16 Mezzaluna Sport 25m, 8 Classic
Pretty hard for a 16, especially the crux (I went left). Very nice views from about halfway!

Fri 14th Dec 2012 - Blue Mountains

15 The Arrow and the Song Sport 26m, 9 Good
Good for start of day! Cruisy, bring a few long draws.

Wed 5th Dec 2012 - Blue Mountains
Bells Line of Road & Chifley Rd The Dam Cliffs Wet Feet Area
17 Wet Feet Sport 14m Good
Touch hard for 17, especially start. Average climbing, just novelty for the creek below.

Wed 5th Dec 2012 - Blue Mountains
Bells Line of Road & Chifley Rd The Dam Cliffs Steep Wall
19 Lonely Thursday Sport 12m Good
Bouldery, but straight forward start. Tough move for a shortie 3/4 up.

Tue 4th Dec 2012 - Blue Mountains
Bells Line of Road & Chifley Rd Cosmic County Area The Freezer
20 Tom Tom Club Sport 23m Average
The higher you get, the chossier it gets! Nothing memorable apart from struggling to hold on at a really sandy bit.

Mon 26th Nov 2012 - Blue Mountains
Medlow Bath The Sunbath
20 Radioactive Man Sport 12m Very Good
Juggy start, spread your feet for no hands rest before crux, then just follow the chalk! Straight up, veering right with the bolts, not out left. Anchors are in a silly position. Partner seconded to clean and rappelled. Super fun!

18 Old Salt Sport 18m Classic
Enjoyable climbing the whole way, with jugs all around you! Blew chalk in my eyes from an overly chalked pocket, haha. A very pleasant, cruisy climb.

17 Cardinal Fang Sport 15m, 5 Good
Did twice, a few nice slopers, but nothing memorable.

Thu 22nd Nov 2012 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Celebrity Crags Jimmy Cliff
18 Johnny's Jalopies Sport 20m, 7 Very Good
Good fun, screwed up crux and nearly came off though.

Wed 21st Nov 2012 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Boronia Point Ancient Mariner Buttress
17 Creature Without a Brain Sport 15m Average
Hard start.

19 Ancient Mariner Sport 12m, 5 Good
Surprisingly pumpy. Like all the other climbs here, bottom hard, top easy.

17 Mr. Curly Sport 10m, 3 Good
Lots of random holds, no real crux though. Top is easier though.

Tue 13th Nov 2012 - Blue Mountains
Leura Sublime Point West Face (Main Area) Middle Cliffs Theory of Negativity Wall
20 Theory of Negativity Sport 22m, 9 Very Good
Cool moves, and nice rock (after the first few metres) Big holds, but not necessarily big jugs the whole way. Need to improve on endurance, I was pumped senseless by the end! Clipped the anchors and fell almost instantly after that.

Tue 13th Nov 2012 - Blue Mountains
Leura Sublime Point West Face (Main Area) Middle Cliffs Choc Chip Chai Sector
19 20 Choc Chip Chai Sport 15m, 7 Good
Little bit of an awkward start. Worried about the rock quality, but everything held! One cool pocket crossover move, pretty easy, was a good start of day climb! Didn't find the end hard to be honest.

Sat 10th Nov 2012 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Centennial Glen Junket Pumper Area
18 Stephen Grunter Sport 10m, 5 Don't Bother
To put up draws, then ended up cleaning because of my, well grunty mantles... Climbing isn't nice and/or flowy. Uninspiring line, didn't like it.

Sat 10th Nov 2012 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Shipley Upper War Babies Wall
21 Do Androids Care — 2 attempts Sport 15m Good
All over after second bolt, crimp move to jug. Super cruisy afterwards, good warm up. Did it twice. Maybe 20..? Felt super easy second time!

Sat 27th Oct 2012 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Shipley Upper Grey Slab
18 17 Burning Jowls Sport 18m, 8 Very Good
Warm down, to enjoy the setting sun at Shipley! Universal beta of the climb if you're stuck is "Get your feet up" Probably 17, as the book says.

Sat 27th Oct 2012 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Porters Pass Dogs, Cats & Apples Wall
20 19 Powerbra Rangers Sport 23m, 8 Very Good
Pumpy first half or so, to a no hands rest, one reachy move (for me at least). Pleasant climbing! My feet felt like they were about to explode. (New pair of shoes!)

Mon 1st Oct 2012 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Shipley Upper Sandwiches Wall

Good warmup, lots of crimps, high first bolt made me a little worried, but all was well!

Sun 23rd Sep 2012 - Blue Mountains
Bells Line of Road & Chifley Rd The Dam Cliffs Shady Alley
18 Bourke's Backyard Sport 18m, 3 Crap
Awkward boulder start, traverse a flat rail to the actual route. Horrible positions to put on plates and draws. Bolts are spaced apart. Shrubbery on half the holds, rope drag from the anchor position. It really is a 'backyard' from all the vegetation. Not worth doing.

Sat 22nd Sep 2012 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Zap Crag Lower Zap
17 Just Warmin' Up (Just Warming Up) Sport 20m Good
Cruisy slab, nothing that memorable. Warmed me up though!

Sat 15th Sep 2012 - Blue Mountains

Sat 8th Sep 2012 - Nowra
Thompson's Point Orca Area
18 Orca Sport 25m, 8 Mega Classic
Favourite climb of the weekend! The pocketed wall before the arete is amazing. so much fun! Extremely windy day made the balancy section at the top a little difficult.

Sat 8th Sep 2012 - Nowra
Thompson's Point Descent Gully Walls
14 Pete's Two Bob Sport 6m Good
Good holds where you need them; difficult moves for the grade, but I guess that's because it's a 14 compressed into a few moves. Not so sure on the bolts, they were poking out quite a bit. Could see the whole circle + a little extra. Someone with more bolting experience should have a look.

Showing 1 - 100 out of 102 ascents.
