Ascents in Colosseum Wall Area

As soon as I worked out the boulder problem at the start, it was all gravy from there.

Bulgy crux moves were super fun. Couldn’t find the position, hang around for ages, then finally sent along with a desperate snatch right at the end.

A couple of big moves off the deck then eased off considerably. The big moves were fun though.

Kyla tried for the onsight but didn’t quite commit, I finished it off and stitched it up (great gear) for her to pink point. A nice short climb if you’re in the area

Got nervy on it but wasn’t as sustained as I thought it’d be, mega good rests but was still a fight due to some bad decision making / route reading. A fun one!

Felt very good and grippy in the jams on that day

Glad to clean up this dog. Still bloody hard for 20 I reckon, especially considering other routes at this grade here.

From the minute you leave the ground, the moves are on. Guess they have to be for such a short route. Nice rock

Did it again, in worst physical shape than the time I redpointed. Glad I did not unsend it.

A climb that was on my hitlist for far too long. After a strenuous day of trad my body was telling me no, but my mind was telling me yes. I listened to my mind.

A great jamming route, with a good rest at the sentry box. Its true what they say about it being a one-move wonder. However, its still a very enjoyable and recommendable climb.

Not enough confidence to go over the crux, so exited up the small corner to the left

this is excellent! I was in quite a hurry to leave so jumped on Josh's gear after his epic onsight. Had no problems with the moves (top strenuous though), but I'm sure it's a different story placing gear. Next time! Gear spoiler alert: #0.5 and nut (for belayer), #0.75 (a bit high), #1 and #0.3 (I think!), rest, #0.75, #1, #2. I think I'm missing a 0.3 or 0.5 somewhere in the second part after the rest... But there would be so many ways of protecting it...

Felt more soapy this time. But still enjoyable.

This wouldnt be too bad if you are good at jamming. I am not so this was hard. The top section is strenuous

Very enjoyable, I just momentarily forgot how to jam. This jamming business... It's a love/hate kind of thing.

Nice line to warm up for the rack.
