By far my favourite Trad route in Araplies just because its one of the few if not the only roof crack at Arapiles. Highest grade I have done so far but definitely going to be my first 22. Did have the rope get caught in the crack as I went up. It got jammed with the gear, any ideas on how this can be avoided?

After an ill-fated but honest try-hard onsight attempt on a previous day which shamefully devolved into an aid mission to get the gear back, came back a few days later after licking my wounds and then covering them in tape and chalk and got the send. Found a kneebar which eluded me on the onsight shot. Stoked as. Such a hidden gem. Stout at the grade though.

Only a short hard section of technical painful jamming (or a jugfest if youre a sport climber) I just kept missing bringing the bloody right hand into my body, not quite sure why i found this so hard. Once the hard bit is done its a pleasant easy hand crack. Also, no big gear, for my own reference, nut 0.5, 0.5, 0.75 then 2 and 3 for the easy bit.

Mucked my hand sequence up and ended up doing some messed up undercling layback the whole way out of the roof. Kinda glad I was on a top rope and not going for the ground up onsight, because no way I would have been able to place any gear 😅
