Ascents in Johor

Some trees are used as protection, keep an eye out for them. The last pitch has no bolts and have to rely on using sings around trees. Be mindful of the time to rap down as rope may get stuck in between trees.

Beautiful climb on amazing rock with nice view. It was so much worth it.

Long approach. Bolts are pretty spaced out. Would recommend 1,2,3 cams and a set of nuts.

I led pitch 1, pitches 4 + 5 linked and pitch 7. My partner AJ led pitches 2 + 3 linked then pitches 6 and 8.

Haven't gone on the other routes but the horns are about the best multipitch experience in the region should you be up for a little bit of adventure!

4th time ascend. 2-days overnight lead solo. probably the easiest "bolted" route to get up the dragon horn. The view at the top is just breathtaking, the easily one of the best multi pitch experience in south east asia.

One of the best multipitch climb so far ... But before you can enjoy the climb, have you ever tried hiking for 2 hours in a sauna with all your climbing stuff on the back ? Approach is not to be underestimated and finding the starting point of the route is far from being easy, at least when it is your first time. This route will stay for real explorers only, unless a clean and clear path is established through the jungle.

Climbed as second team ever. Using trad gear (borrowed from old malay man in village) in between sport anchors. Alternated with my buddy. Reached top of pitch 6 and ran out of day light. Carried two ropes not needed. Hauling up equipment getting it stuck and wasted time. Climbed with smale backpack on lead climb and large backpack seconding. Do not rappel two pitches at once. Rope drag got our rope stuck and we had to climb up again. Consider camping in a hammock at the bottom of the climb to have enough daylight. (Had 6 months worth of experience sport climbing at the time. My buddy a bit more.) Will definitely be back. Absolutely epic experience dreaming about it regularly.
