Excellent route, better than 3 star in the book. The pitches seem to get better and better. It is an improbable line. The crux pitch gets one thinking. 2nd last pitch has to be one of the best for the grade anywhere. 50m of joy. Highly recommended

Follows a fantastic natural line on bomber rock. Mostly great gear except some delicate moves at the end of p2 with sparse pro. One of the best routes I have done.

Cool historic route. We took a fun alpine approach with a few short roped sections and a rap to get to the start of the climb. Wonder how low down the ridge you could start? Lost time finding Timerity rap. Know Yellowwood a bit better after this long day out on the hill.

Good testing line with 3/4 distinct cruxes. Has some great unusual features on the route, so worth doing. Prob is harder then 15 as felt like I need to pull way harder not I should on a 15.

Epic and beautiful !!! But also Epic ! Proper day out in the mountains. 17h car to car. Hike to climb = bundu bash (not too terrible if you are used to often bundu bash, and if follow a good line - scree helps), pass a waterfall with some thin section (dry when this ascent was done, but still active -> watch past weather forecast), some rare cairns higher up. All in all = plan your path before going up ! No water (climb may mostly be in the shade, though the hike up and down will definitely tap into your water reserve, don't be shy to carry a good one) Can be windy once on the rock. Route pretty much stays in the shade. Good rock with some lose section (also some lichenous section, but mostly noticed because done ascent on a windy day, lichen has talent to fly into eyes 🤪) Some pitons on the route (x3 or 4). Pitches can be linked (pitches 1, 2 and 3 can be linked to just short of 60m) Abseiled down to the base of the route (alternative to the walk-off from the top which is much longer -bundu bash-). Like your climb, keep the fynbos clean, take your trash out. Original RD has lower grades for most of the pitches though would agree with the ones assigned by Scurvy in this route description https://www.thecrag.com/en/climbing/south-africa/witteberg/route/14302183
