Description

Two small 40-60' cliffs located on the south western shore of Upper Angora Lake offer half a dozen or so DWS problems. The shorter of the two cliffs is a popular cliff jumping spot, but take care - there have been deaths and serious injuries here.

Approach

Swim across the lake, or if you'd rather keep your shoes dry you can rent a kayak, SUP or rowboat from the resort. It's also possible to walk around the lake, but the problems all have water starts so you'll still get wet.

The following two routes are located on the taller brooding buttress to the right, looking across the lake from the resort. This buttress has some potential for more problems, but always check water depth in detail before climbing up! There are a lot of submerged logs and boulders in this lake.

The right hand crack on the steep left facing wall of the tall right hand buttress - not visible from the resort. Crux is down low, then good splitters lead to a topout at a bush.

The layback / splitter crack just left of 'Crack', with a bush a few metres up. "Stop and drop" finish at about 2/3 height, where the cracks peter out.

The left hand, slabbier feature is a popular cliff-jumping spot, and offers a few slabby problems.

The slabs on the left hand feature (the main cliff-jumping rock) offer a couple of thin crimpy slab problems.
