A grade or two harder if you don’t have the reach off the foot pocket to the flake up high. About 20 attempts!

A couple more goes, feeling a lot better on the lower section and sorted the finish but still missing a solution to the crux as Daves bridge solution leaves me too low.

Still baffled by a 2 m section. Getting some linkage. I think we need to work on presses.

Got to third bolt but not a good one to have done on trashed tips.

You definitely can’t finish out left. The anchors are straight up on a large block in front of the dead tree. The final move is the longest. Very height dependent and no chance of holding the dyno sloper for my height even with toe hooks in the heat today.

We were meant to be having an easier day but got bored. Then it rained. Figured out a functional sequence to third bolt, then it’s all much easier. Hopefully will get back

I had to divert back into holiday after falling off the thin finger crux to make upward progress then moved right again. The stalactite feature was amazing but vibrates.

P2 and3 , got through the first half of P2 to the mantle, then faded towards end. P3 start is dire, then gnarly finger crack that will be tricky on lead

A fair few crunchy holds, did R to L but did in 2 halves after holds broke

Logged as attempt because I was setting up and then taking down a rope swing for 10 children and only wanted to get to lip. Quite fun, will return when not raining to finish head wall.

Gave up at third bolt, sun had disappeared and the sharp rock was chewing up my fingers. Will try on a warmer day.

I think this was some type of hybrid diagonally across honeycomb pockets. Got clean to lip at about v3. Fun enough but Lots of crap rock in this area.

Tried this once before years ago, still feels outrageously hard and reachy. I can get to good hold under roof with effort. Seeing the 24 to the left is so straightforward this maybe should be 26? Way harder than 97%MF

Way too greasy to hold fast today, but nice problem

Sigh, I finally managed the start and fell off the 0.5 cam section after plugging in a couple, probably a metre before bridging

Totally sucked at this today. Fingers minced. Must have had 8 goes at the starting 6 m.

Reachy, Really hard to dead point crimp rail,then feet have to be way too high, feels a couple of grades harder and not worth the effort.

Out of reach bolt placements persist. Demoralised after mongrel. Couldn’t find a safe clipping stance to place 4 th draw. Will return with brush, a panic draw and some trad gear. Some day.

Felt more like a v5 boulder problem to me. I failed trying johns beta.

Can’t reach anything after crimp rail . Finger shredding.

I hate bouldering. Hold broke, hammered heel, better than head. The nice sandy landing had disappeared, sloping rock.

Whatever this is it isn’t 20. I was trying to prevent further holes in my hands and this climb wasn’t helping. Add 4 grades or so

Unfortunately steep stuff like this shows what recent abdo surgery does to the core

Was probably going to do allehal, but it couldn't do the last move of this starting sequence and stick the ledge, need short person beta. The pockets etc were all ok but a very high left foot back step kept pushing me off the ledge despite giving me the height.

No progress today

Got to high crux but needs a cool day, a brush and a tick mark and a slab dyno to succeed for me

Been on this before, but probably not the best conditions today with drizzle coming in, feet would not stick

Hmmm, my tips were already cooked from trying a project yesterday, I was here to jamb, but Dave showed me the moves are possible....

The bail Biner is at the roof for a reason. Couldn't hold the side pull in the 36 degree heat and happily used it

Will have to find out different beta to get to traverse line as I lack Pipers span. Nice moves to third bolt, and had already done the finishing crack

End of day attempt failed about 4 bolts up at undercling.

Got to last bolt, with a bit of dogging, though found middle tricky. Scored a bloody flapper going for the next good hold and came down due to ongoing dripping. Felt tired on next shot, and after a half hearted attempt when I hit it again, I just threaded last bolt. Looks stupidly run out to anchors with nasty fall potential across roof.

Not been on this since 2011, forgotten everything. Still a move off sorting crux.

Failed on second part of crux. I think I respect finger skin too much to try again.

Got to the jugs at base of second cave clean, but so dirty I fell off every time I tried to mantle into cave. Need to brush before trying again. Fun moves to there

0ne and a half pitches. Rain imminent, but more my tummy troubles led to retreat.

The end was wet so we stopped under roof. Ridiculous start on gym holds. One more for the short would be nice.

Got to2nd last bolt and rope drag from ground so bad I could barely clip. Hung in while dave climbed slab, clipped next bolt, fell off and lost interest in boulders crux moves to anchor.

Bah. Good moves and then super long reach to an under cling with no feet and I got scared.

Got to the horn and lip but wasnt going to break an ankle trying the topout with no spotters 2 days before leaving the country

The swell started coming in quite quickly and I decided it was time to run away. Rock was dripping.

Ouch. Very painful on the fingers

Trying JPs beta is not going to work.....

lowered off bolt below anchors, did crux down low. Sustained avaried climbing. Hope to get back to it one day

Got 2/3 way up albeit resting. Couldnt disengage foot cam without falling off.
