Summary

A pile of sharp crumbly sea choss which has a couple of improbably good hidden pearls

Access issues inherited from New South Wales and ACT

If you have benefited from climbing infrastructure in NSW, please consider making a donation towards maintenance costs. The Sydney Rockclimbing Club Rebolting Fund finances the replacement of old bolts on existing climbs and the maintenance of other hardware such as fixed ropes and anchors. The SRC purchases hardware, such as bolts and glue, and distributes them to volunteer rebolters across the state of New South Wales. For more information, including donation details, visit https://sydneyrockies.org.au/rebolting/

Approach

From the south end of Pebbly beach walk 50m around the headland at low tide to find an arch / cave

Ethic inherited from Coffs Harbour

Climbing ethics in the Coffs Harbour area generally follow those of the rest of Australia. The sandstone often offers solid, natural protection which should be used instead of fixed protection where possible. Tape, ribbon, or something similar tied around a bolt or inserted in the route will indicate an incomplete route. Please respect these routes as projects until the marker is removed.

An amazing quality line in the Goldilocks zone: above the barnacles and below the friable sharp stuff. Start way down to the left below the high tide mark on jugs and traverse through stonking jugs and jams and finish as for 'Rusty Sea Star'

FA: Brendan Heywood & Ben Vincent, 7 May 2023

A low sit start through great quality rock up and around onto the face on the right. If you have the mettle then top out onto the rusty ledge and then carefully jump off.

FA: Ben Vincent & Brendan Heywood, 7 Mar 2023

Up the easy jugs

FA: Ben Vincent & Brendan Heywood, 7 May 2023

Paul: What's in the box? Reverend Mother Mohiam: Pain. - Dune

A cave with a large variety of little roof problems which need a special P grading system for pain. Still fun!

FA: Ben Vincent & Brendan Heywood, 7 May 2023
