Summary

Just another climbing highlight in Western Austria. The Ötztal has probably the highest density of climbing areas in a relatively short (less than 70km) and narrow valley. Something for everyone...

Description

Bouldering, sport climbing, multi-pitch climbing in alpine settings and ice climbing, the Ötztal offers it all. You may also access some of the alpine summits from there or simply enjoy the landscape.

Explore the crags that are listed here as you drive into the Ötztal.

Selected topos can also be found here: http://www.climbers-paradise.com/klettern/location-details/location/sportklettern/oetztal/

Approach

A good hour of driving from either of the climbing hotspots, Innsbruck or Imst will bring you to world famous Sölden deep in the Ötztal.

Where to stay

A tourism center that offers all sorts of accommodation, from camping to luxury places. Pick your choice but make sure you check in advance during high season, summer or winter.
