Zillergrund is a mystical place with lots of bouldering areas and sport climbing but it also offers access to some of the alpine walls in the Zillertaler Alpen.
Zillergrund is the source valley of the Ziller River. It is bordered to the east by the Reichenspitzgruppe mountain at the border of Austrian province Salzburg, and in the south by the Ahrntal Valley in South Tyrol.
Some crags are on private land, please behave accordingly in order to maintain access. Also, certain crags experience seasonal closures, please be informed!
The Zillergrund can be reached from Mayrhofen and Brandberg. A toll road runs from the Nature Park's Maurach parking lot (after the Brandberg Tunnel) to Bärenbad.
