Holy shit, what a battle

It was raining so we decided to retreat

My first multi on the chief and already such a superbe route! Physical, my knee was still fucked up so I couldn't jam my right feet and laid back the hell out of every crack. 5.9 pitch is an awkward corner, harder than the 5.10a in my view.

Wet and wide, spooky traverse

highly recommend linking pitch 4 and 5. You can easily keep the rope drag at bay by extending a lot of your placements on the 10a pitch, and if your comfortable running out pitch 5 there's almost no ropedrag at the anchors.

Led1,2,4, rapped down. Great climb

So much fun! Steep for the Apron, but huge holds and good feet, good pro, less technical and more physical. Led pitches 1, 2, 5.

Got the crux pitch. Felt tough for 10c, but I also kept moving my feet up instead of sideways on the undercling...Finished up last pitch of Rock On

Great! Would feel more comfortable with 2 #3BD, but was just a bit run-out at the end otherwise. Can rap off to the right with a single 60m rope.

A great number of pitches and an absolute classic in the 55m rope-stretcher. The crux was a bit poxy and damp though. Great way to access Squamish Buttress and the First Summit (and better than Sqm Butt itself!!!)
