Description

Largest wall in the area with many established routes including sport routes and trad routes.

Access issues inherited from Great Spitzkoppe

Access via the Spitzkoppe Community Campsite.

Approach

Approach from the Boulder Valley with the start at the old campsite 10A. Follow cairns to the base of the wall.

Descent notes

Descend via the SW gulley route.

Ethic inherited from Great Spitzkoppe

Trad and bolted routes permitted. No bolts next to natural protection. Bolting permissions to be arranged via the Mountain Club of South Africa, Namibia Section. NO BOLTING WITHOUT PERMISSION.

Great way to access Watersports and N in M. 1st pitch is trad and has better gear than it looks from below. 2nd pitch is sport. 3rd pitch is easy but runout with 2 bolts only.

Bolted route right of Blowing up the postbox. Excellent route following a small dyke on the first pitch and plaques on the second. easy friction climbing on the 3rd pitch. Abseil down BUTPB.
