Summary

Under John Allen's wall, slightly to the right.

Access issues inherited from Hidden Quarry (Darlton 2)

Climbing is tolerated, but refer to BMC rad for up to date access info.

Approach

Drop off to the bottom of the quarry and the wall is to your right.

Ethic inherited from Peak District Limestone

Being a national park, consult the local guide books and the regional access database for any closures. As usual, Nesting birds, and protected flora should be preserved. Some crags are on Private land, and therefore act reasonably if asked to leave.

Grade Route

The first route from the left. The direct finish is 6b+, borrowing holds from the right makes it a nice 6a+.

Reachy finish on good holds. Mixed climbing with some really chossy sections halfway up.

Hard moves at the overlap.

Hard, reachy start, but soon eases, until it gets reachy again. The flake is a necessity but sounds very hollow.. Yet, this is the best climb out of the 4.
