Spectacular climbing on cool towers and pinnacles. Very suspect rock.
The Pinnacles has a long history of climbing which you can read about in the excellent guidebook A Climber's Guide to Pinnacles National Park by Brad Young. Finding crags can be challenging, but the maps and descriptions in the book will get you there. Raptors nest in the High Peaks and West Side Crags. Before climbing, check the access status of various cliffs at Friends of Pinnacles ( www.pinnacles.org ). You can also find excellent information about crag ethics and routes not in the guidebook at the MudNCrud forum www.mudncrud.com
For any/all access issues at crags in this region, please contact the Bay Area Climbers Coalition.
There is a campground on the East side of the park.
This crag does not have approach information. Could you describe the approach to this crag?
