Felt fairly steady on the send. Being able to brush the mono was the key.

Fell off the very top on the flash attempt because of hesitating too much. Went pretty easily second go.

A power endurance classic.

Felt pretty limit, got slightly lost, but fought through the pump, committed, somehow held on & made it to the top.

Feel like I've really conquered my benchmark route (& first ever 7b) now! 😁

Finally sent it! 6th session over 2 trips.

First 8a, have officially skipped 7c+ now.

Wind was pretty crazy, but that made the friction nice at least.

The crux for me weirdly ended up being the middle section, not the top. But I think the top just suited me super well as have been doing a lot of board climbing lately.

One of only two dry routes at the crag today. Sent it in light rain.

2nd go this year. 3rd go overall I think? Messed up the crux on first attempt today putting the draws in and got a bit spooked but went fairly easily second go today.

7b Rockfax guidebook which probably feels more accurate?

Retro onsight

2nd go. Felt fairly straightforward once I knew where the holds were.

Hardest climb to date. Super nice route with a bit of everything. Jug hauling, moonboard-like crux, kneebar tufa glory, fingery lip, technical top slab.

Redpoint 3rd go today. Took a big whipper right by the 4th bolt on the last hard move on my 2nd go. Favourite route in Payne's!

Upgraded to 26 after a hold broke at the start according to the guidebook.

Fell 1 move before it turned into 6b climbing because I didn't see the hold.

Redpoint on 2nd attempt felt easy.
