Ascents as Red point or Ground up red point as trad by hipyhop

Repeat - Started up Serrated Edge but soon bailed onto this

Very active Bee's nest at the tree anchor above. We couldn't find an alternative descent so I braved the bees and luckily they were kind to me today.

Any objections to a bolted anchor on this ledge?

2nd attempt. Loved the thin section this time but found the top hard!

Went to warm up on this and realised I had Tyler’s shoes. Struggled through the tears and gave up climbing for the day.

1 star experience.

Second lap to deliver a #2 to Tyler who was having a meltdown on Christian

Everything went smoothly and didn't get lost on the summit this time.

During the walk-off we had the sad realisation that this is the most popular mountain trad multi-pitch route in SE Queensland. There must be something better than this that we can show traveling Europeans so they don't laugh at us?

BETA ALERT: There is a peg to protect the crux moves of p3 that is very hard to see. It's 2-3m up the corner before you step out to the arete. Otherwise you have to pull the crux moves above some fairly poor gear (like I did!).

The poor rock quality in the second half really doesn't make this an inspiring climb.

Make sure you're comfortable at the grade or don't mind gear ripping out of hollow rock.

Pitches 3-6 are utter trash with no sensible protection and difficult route finding. You can easily go off track and get in to some dangerous territory with the possibility of pitch-long "falls" (painful rolls down the slab). I feel like 2 bolts per pitch on pitches 3-6 would reduce the route-finding issues and make this a much more reasonable climb.

It's a shame as the flake pitch (P7) has some nice trad climbing and 8 & 9 are safe and fun (if you have enough gear Matthew Robbins!).

Note to future self: Don't climb this again.

This always feels harder to than I remember it to be😅

This felt stiff for the grade. Lots of awkwardness in the lower half, followed by mantling over a suspicious-looking death block held in place by dirt.
