The most spectacular, beautiful and intimidating corner soaring up to infinity and beyond. We both sent it first shot on lead, after an hour or so on TR solo the day before. The best beta I've heard for this pitch is "if you find yourself pulling hard, you're not stemming well enough".

Sketchy stemming for about 5m, then the gear improves and it backs off and becomes more enjoyable to the awkward hanging belay.

A stunning, sustained finger sized corner, with the jambs becoming more pleasing the higher one gets. This one combined with the crux pitch must be 2 of the best single pitches of granite in Oz.

Sweet airy traversing, with a spot of tree climbing thrown in for good measure (sorry tree). Glad to have converted to the dark side and donned crack gloves for this one.

The line is unquestionably primo. The climbing itself was like questing up a slimey waterslide at Raging Waters.
I slowly greased out of a right jam on the crux transition a couple of times before pulling the rope and sending it. Crack gloves next time A memorable ascent, although I might wait for a couple of seasons of glorious El Niño conditions before repeating this one. |

Came off trying to stick the utterly desperate move above the 3rd bolt. Highly agree with the other comments - just pull past this and do the route at 22M1 to open up a super enjoyable and engaging arete route. The 2 cams are bomber but the first placement is hard to see until you've climbed above it.
Sent it clean above that minging 3rd bolt move |

A very good outing. The start is stiff for the grade, like a hard Frog Buttress 22. I fell off it a couple of times and handed the line to tradgod Neilio After that it backs right off. Second pitch is a very nice corner then left wall. Didn't find it chossy or run out (contrary to other comments). Last pitch is fun and cruisy. Take a couple of yellow and red alien size cams for the first pitch.

A stellar route and quite achievable at the grade. Much less intimidating than the reputation that surrounds it. Solid gear and the carrots were "passable". Led pitches 1, 3 and 5 with Lee cruising pitch 2 and 4. A super duper fun day with no falls.
Would take a triples of 0.5, 0.75 and 1" camalot next time. #3 camalot optional and definitely don't need a #4. |

Due to weather we only had 2 and a half days on the route. This reduced the pressure somewhat, because the scale of the thing felt insurmountable. Knowing how my brain works, this is probably is the reason it came together.
