Ascents by Ben Jenga having Distinct route

After the scary fixed rope approach this route feels easy. One hard move up top.

Pretty hard move at the end, even being tall its a proper pull. Always hard to grade this kind of route?? Approach-y send.

It's a pity the first pitch is so sharp because the second pitch is one of the best 6a+ routes on the wall. Cool arête climbing.

Pretty easy moves up to a couple of crimps at the anchors, graded 22 but pretty soft at the grade.

Yep I can reach the jugs from the ground, this is a very high dependent crag. I enjoyed this end of the day lap.

Did the direct start... Very thin moves.

I went for the main wall link up, up then down starman traversed over to dr do little and up that without touching ground. Got to get milage on these short walls.

Great long warm up with a few interesting spots, the rock is better then it looks. We lowered off from the top with a 70m rope and got back to the ledge but only just.

Adventure climbing comes to bell.. The climb itself isn't bad if you avoid the top death by ironstone headwall but the high admin of getting on and off kind of ruins the experience. Sorry Paul.

mmm sharp. A good long slab on coral rock, felt a bit stiff at 20 but fun enough??

That's a fight for sure, really hard slab move.

Approach shoe warm up.

Mega tufa fins, you can find rests galore. Super.

Sweet limestone bridging to a mega tufa.

Crimpy and sustained at the grade, back to back with atena starting to feel the end of the day pump.

More wet action, for some reason I got scared up top with all the wet holds made it feel a lot harder then it needed to be.

It's only short but good value.

Re-warm up lap, a couple of cool pocket problem sections but the ledges could be a problem if this was your limit.

Hard arête climbing if you stick to the arête. This felt 6c at least or I was doing it wrong.

I really liked this one, so much so I did it twice. Funky moves on mainly good holds.

More great holds and hard tech moves. Wicked barn door move in the middle.

First climb of the day. Nice route.

I think i may have climbed this before?? I forget. A little bit wet in places including the goldfish pocket but nice and long.

I was suprised to really like this. Fun bowl traverse up in the back of the cave. Great novelty route.

Fun warm up, crux for me was swapping hands.

Really good fun, it should get climbed more.

Good slabbing, tree isn't in

Under rated gem, sort of..

Zero chalk on this one, packs a punch for the whole 6 metres of climbing.

Is it just me that founds this tricky? Maybe I missed a few good holds. Great arete climbing.

I had a lot of fun on this climb. Short and steep with a no hands rest when you put your back against the tree.

This is not the 20 you are looking for, again solid at the grade but good value moves to a possibly heart break last move. Reminds me of shellshock row.

Another old Onsight but it felt pretty hard today.

Nice warm up and funky little climb. A tad run out in one spot but no drama.

Not the best the grampians have to offer. Having to stick clip the first bolt while already on the climb is a pain. Don't fall from the top!!

Junk.. Sorry monty this would be a good climb on a different wall but here is was sharp and not so nice. I was fearful on some of the top rock but didn't break anything..

A good climb despite the desperate undergraded crux's, sweet mono. Almost fell off

Good fun climbing with a few tricky moves. Soild for the great or I am feeling a bit soft.

A wee bit dirty after all the rain. Getting to the second bolt could be a bit sketch if you blow it. Mostly jugs but surprisingly steep. Lower off at the ledge.

Pretty wild for a warm up.. I was pumped, scared and excited all at the same time. Glad there was some perm-draws in the middle traverse.

Mmm a strange introduction to the weird and wonderful world of coolum climbing.

Bolted trad. This route felt heaps run out even when standing on the bolt. A bit of crapy rock down low then some cool moves under the roof and up the corner to a tricky move at the top.

I did this years ago but hadn't logged it. Fun little route on good rock, the last bolt could be a metre to the left but still climbs fine. Cool flowstone.

Not the best route at the gib and as a warm up felt tricky. I would hate to have tried this climb before the hammer cleaning.

Umm well, a good climb if you like to study lichen up close. Has a great belay stance.

Not sure on the grade?? Once we gave this a brush it wasn't to bad, fun moves.

I am started to think that the guide book author over hypes his routes and down plays others. Sure the top of this route was good but the bottom was nothing flash. On the plus side you can belay from the ground with a 70m rope.

Talked up in the guide and good climbing from halfway but to get there you have to pull in super sharp little slab crimps. Maybe I was being a bit of a girl but at the EOD it was unpleasant. The top is not much easier. Felt 6c at least.

My kalymnos dreams of tufa pulling madness have been dashed by all the rain in the last couple of weeks Fun tufa pulling, a little wet in places but the whole wall was very drippy.
