Ascents by Andreas Aachen having Trad CPR

Been a few years since i have been on this. All moves still go but feels im as far away from leading this as i ever was

The obvious / original line; but not as good as Pink Rabbits...

Did not clip any of the fixed slings as they all looked quite weathered. But the gear is bomber

FFA. Bloody Brilliant! Crack, technical vertical and slab climbing; 26 seems fair. The climbing is very good, the length and position make this a classic I reckon. The upper crux, after the last bolt (where I came off during my heartbreaking first try) is the RP crux imho (the moves are as hard as on the lower crux plus you have 40m of rope+ropedrag pulling you down). In addition, the upper crux can currently not be protected on lead. For my lead try, I extended a small wire from higher up beforehand, so that the biner was at the same height as bolt used to be (patched bolt hole). Anyone knows what happened top that bolt? Would have been just before the upper crux. (FFA?). It's also a tad run-out in places (ended up having 13 pieces (incl bolts) in the 54m).

This flake is not meant to last...

Onsighted first pitch (DP) but just missed out on the sent on the second pitch. Honestly, don't really mind that much though as it was an amazing experience either way!

Thanks so much Wynnie for making this happen, for letting me lead both pitches and for keeping a cheery mood despite getting soaked up to the shoulders on the first belay (with low tide and small swell).

Great climbing on solid gear. Really only a few moves at/near 23.

First time playing on Prinzip Hoffnung. Absolute stellar 40m pure trad line.

Did almost all moves, but connecting the dots while putting the gear in will be a (very) long term project, however, in principle there is hope ;-)

Did THE MOVE static but the reachy upper Crux almost got me.

Gear placed on lead but rapped over it first.

3rd shot. Fun climb. Sacrificed a pair of socks to dry out some holds for the top out after a shower came through.

Very cool climb. Did it on Bernies gear (PP)...Would be pretty pumpy red-pointing this..

Shame about the bouldery start, would be an awesome 21 otherwise.

Climbed parts on the right on the first pitch as I didn't have any cams with me...will def do it again once my gear arrived, stellar line.

Found a sequence which just works for me

Extended a piece from the top to make the scary top out a bit more sane

Put in some gear instead of clipping the dodgy rusty piton

Very artistic. Fell after the last bolt on OS...coudl really feel the laps of AP from earlier in the day.

Good sustained climbing. The bolts are shocking...

Mindnumbing exposure, for the leader as much as for the 2nd.

Great Climb! Best one in YY imho! Big holds on overhang wall. Take a big nut and purple C4 to protect the top out.
