Ascents of Pommy Bastard as Hang dog

Bouldery start is for sure the crux. Pretty happy not to fall since I didn’t stick clip.

Should have abseiled and cleaned all the holds first

Was very sandy. Sand plus moving a foot to high had me out of balance. Knew it was not worth fighting it so came off. Right of the bold make the high step much easier.

Very good, but also very hard work!

Struggled to make much progress with this one.

The book lists this as 19, probably more correctly. First lead over 18!

This climb was an exhilarating little challenge. It's starts off a little slopey, with a few tricky moves to make it up to the first ledge. After that, it becomes a little easier until you come to the "chimney" where you've got to shimmy up to the anchor.

I have not strung that first move into the lead ascent yet. I have made it clean minus the first move, so I am still working on this to get it clean.

Attempted lead. Completed on Top Rope.

Cruised through most of the climb, fell on run to anchor.

So dirty to climb just after rain. But otherwise it's a glorious playground of good holds with a variety of moves that contribute well to the climb.

Some nice moves but very sandy which makes the lead unnerving

Another 2 weeks lost to the Hs = depressing. Got up it with only a couple of rests.
