Ascents in Australia by Nicholas Kirk

Nice climbing. Still get spooked whenever I have to make high foot moves above the bolts. Wussed out and rested several times.

Wussed out on crux. Felt exposed even toproping.

Nice little bouldery move to start. Standing up on the ledge was slightly nervy as it was sandy. Good holds the rest of the way.

Cool bouldery start, some reachy throws to good holds. Afterwards glorious jugs to top. Well bolted.

Took some practice falls and didn’t reclimb. Easy jugs after establishing at the bottom.

Made it fairly easily to the 3rd bolt. Took a whip from the 4th bolt to the first and knee'd the Ohm. Ouch.

Wussed out on mantle move, even though I was at the draw did it easily straight after.

Easy climbing to start, one delicate step up to exfoliated flake. Then two VERY delicate steps (one on pure faith) to reach rail on arete with left hand then walk to the top.

Very awkward ground falls possible. No fun leading.

Slightly bouldery start. One pinchy undercling solved the only real beta issue.

Tall-boyed the whole thing.

Got psyched out before the anchors after doing the hard moves. Very painful on the fingers, pebble-filled pockets full of spiders.

Very easy until the very last move. Not sure how far around the arete you're 'allowed' to go, but I pushed that line for sure.

Steep start, pumpy for a 16, pinchy jugs from start to finish.

Climbs like a gym route. All nice holds, crux is close to the end so it's a bit pumpy.

Easy top rope this time.

High step to start, couple delicate steps on right side of exfoliation flake then easy walk to the top.

Awkward, somewhat reachy climbing the whole way, lots of painful holds.

Fun climb. Cruxy and varied.

Holy sandbag Batman. Only 16 in Aus with a V2 boulder and a potential ground fall from 5m+? ~16 climbing at the top and up to 1st bolt, the rest way harder. Broken hold and a missing 2nd bolt maybe? Thinner than nearby 18 and 19s and a tougher crux.

Shifting the anchor was the scary part. Ouchy my fingers were too raw.

Fun start. Moved the anchor across instead of braving the huge run out.

Took a while to get the beta right but satisfying to send! Movements felt really nice with the correct sequence and holds.

Took 2 or 3 goes to get the second move then went to top.

Took a few goes to get the sequence of the first few moves right. Right foot was key.

Fun! Some cool moves for a V1. Can be done as a straight traverse or with a kneebar and heel.
